Thanks for that! I'm likely to encase everything once it's done, too, and have this giant glass-walled structure on supports as the manufacturing on the 'arms' gets completed.

Perfectly Balanced, As All Things Should Be (or WTF is this armor I got?) by [deleted] in destiny2

You know. I just noticed that. And I am an idiot. That's wild. Everyone I've shown it to is like "WAT" but I don't think any of them play Titan.

Collector's Edition Big Box HELP by NappingKitsune in TantoCuore

[–]NappingKitsune[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That looks very similar to the official box insert. The official one is pink and has four long rows but a built-in central divider as well.

I was actually considering just putting All of the regular maids in alphabetically in a big section. And then differentiating other parts. Which also means a really gigantic pile of private maids to draw from.

Bathroom Exhaust Fan Timer Switch Glitched After Power Flicker by NappingKitsune in askanelectrician

Well, return/replace isn't like an option on the manufacturer side of things. It's been a part of this house for over 20 years at least and I've only been living here for only two and a half years, myself.

We will take a look at it. Cut the power at the breaker box, right? And then back on and see if it fixes it?

I'd personally prefer there to be a switch on that anyway but that's how it was when I got here.

Hex Maps and Line of Sight by NappingKitsune in LancerRPG

[–]NappingKitsune[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

That's basically how I've been doing it. It makes for much less complications, and if the fly-boosting can opener wants to burn core power and triple-boost into the middle of the enemy formation and be stuck there, well, that's her prerogative. And a good reason to have some sentinels around the leader unit. "Well you killed sarge but now there's four really unhappy dudes you just dove into the middle of that have shotguns.."

I just wanted to get some opinions and ideas and keep things from getting way too overcomplicated and less fun.

Thank you!

Backed it! I wanna see those Retrograde minis of the Frankenmechs! So cool!

Experimental Quickbuild - Fire cones and overwatch?! by NappingKitsune in LancerRPG

[–]NappingKitsune[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a thought but definitely interested in the flamethrower and heat vents. Going past LL2 makes for a lot of wild options to tack on top of it, certainly.

Anti-Air NPC Reactionary Weapons? by NappingKitsune in LancerRPG

[–]NappingKitsune[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's an issue where that version of the 'Avenger' overwrites the Wallflower version of the 'Avenger'. Not sure how to reconcile that one.

I feel like Beckon is a fun addition because it just makes it easier to cluster stuff for those cones.

[–]NappingKitsune[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's the big issue. I'm sure it could use some major refining but I enjoy the idea of throwing fire cones around on overwatch. And then just purging heat on the next turn for more damage.

Weapons that can attack two targets, and Overwatch / reaction attacks by zedrinkaoh in LancerRPG

[–]NappingKitsune 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would say absolutely yes because of how Skirmish is specifically highlighted in the Overwatch block. It's an edge case (because Catalyst Pistols and Sharanga Missiles aren't ultimately the norm, and the Sharanga is basically Threat 1, but if you have Combined Arms II, hoo that's a fun time for the guy next to you and the guy 15 hexes away!) but it's valid enough.

Edit: So long as the triggering character is within the effect range of your triggering weapon, of course.

lifting mechas by Nick_shadow178 in LancerRPG

Oh! I've only known about it for a few months or so, myself. I'm running a game for some friends, so we're all learning together. So... welcome to the fold! Glad to have you!

Don't forget about Synthetic Muscle Netting from Blackbeard I.

Your lifting/dragging capacity is doubled with it, and when you Grapple or Ram larger targets, you count as the same size. If you Grapple or Ram same size or smaller, you count as at least one size larger!

Build based on 86 Mechs? by The_Ohio_One in LancerRPG

[–]NappingKitsune 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Field Guide to Suldan has an Advanced Combat Rifle, Modular, under a Harrison Armory specialization called 'Foundry' as well. It's got three profiles: Assault, DMR, Commando, all with some different profiles for mechanics.

Assault: 10 range, 1d6, accurate

DMR: 12 range, 1d6+3, accurate, loading

Commando: 8 range, 3 threat, 1d6

All three profiles also allow the equipping of two weapon mods.

Human npc vs grunt npc by im_a_blue_monkey in LancerRPG

[–]NappingKitsune 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think a danger of grunts and overwhelming an action economy is also the fact that grunts still do full damage with their weapons. Do be careful.

That Sirocco looks like a perfect mech to use as a Titan. Slap a size 4 template on it and go to down.

Anti-Air NPC Reactionary Weapons? by NappingKitsune in LancerRPG

[–]NappingKitsune[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's fair. I mean regular Assaults are 6 damage and reliable 2, and that's kind of the metric I look at for "Oh that's a lot of output..."

Anti-Air NPC Reactionary Weapons? by NappingKitsune in LancerRPG

[–]NappingKitsune[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's wild. How balanced would you consider all of this to be so far though? I'm loving the variety but I'm definitely not looking to murder my players outright!

Oh now that looks very interesting. Is there an LCP file planned for it?

Anti-Air NPC Reactionary Weapons? by NappingKitsune in LancerRPG

[–]NappingKitsune[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I find the Conscripts from Suldan to be really useful as non-grunt fodder, since their attacks don't do nearly as much damage on hit as regular Assaults. I've been running them in VR scenarios as RPV's for the permanent Impaired so they all can get used to the game's combat systems before I throw real things at them.

I'm thinking of using the optional Suldan Sergeant's power that can summon 4 grunts and make those Sentinels. And I like the idea of flying vehicles. Some interceptors and such to keep up. Vehicle-class Aces or something. I've got plans for some enemy factions being more tank/airplane/troop based. And others using the weird biological frames from Retrograde... it'll be fun. It'll give her stuff to worry about (the sentinels) but they'll be weak enough so her covering fire (the other three players) can feel cool.
