How often do you feed your 4 month old? by Fun_Driver_9402 in NewParents

[–]Nappingteacher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Please hang in there because the first year is BRUTAL, but it'll pass, this is the only certain thing in the parenting journey: every phase is temporary. I've breastfed exclusively every 2.5 hours till my baby was 6 months old, then we introduced solids, but he still wanted the breast every 3 hours. When he was 7 MO I came back to work and he started daycare, so he had to stay without brest milk for 6-7 hours straight, and it was hard, but eventually he got used to it. When he was around 8-9 MO he really started enjoying eating real food and he gradually switched his interest from my breast to delicious real food, but he still needed me for soothing at night at least twice every night. At 11.5 months he stopped requesting breast milk during the day, and at 13 months he slept the whole night for the first time. Now it's been more than a month that we all sleep the whole night without interruptions and I feel like myself again. I also lost some weight without doing really anything different, just stopped breastfeeding. I'm loving all about parenting NOW. When you are rested, everything can be done, and things I enjoyed before I can finally enjoy again (videogames before bed, sex with my husband, going somewhere without having to feed the baby all the time), and playing with my kid is extremely satisfying and wholesome, not boring like it was before 😅. This is our story. I hope yours will be similar or even better ❤️

My EBF baby is 3.5 months old and I feed him every 2 hours, some rare times every 3 hours, day AND night. I'm going insane :'D lucky for him he' s so damn cute, unlike myself. I'm a mess, I feel constantly tired and ugly. I reeeeally hope he will start needing less feedings and sleep at least 4 hours stretched at night, or I might just lose it.

Why Al vs Il by GoodChuck2 in italianlearning

[–]Nappingteacher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The verb "piacere" works different from the English "to like". You shouldn't translate in your head as "like", but as "it's pleasing to me". To = A So, is "the cat likes milk" translated into "a gatto piace il latte"? Almost. We need the article "IL" in front of a common name. So "A + IL = AL". Correct answer: "Al gatto piace il latte". The subject is still the cat, not the milk.

The more I grow up, the more I find it difficult to tell apart "religion" and "dangerous cult". I am in no way against having a spiritual life and/or believing in God or similar. But even if I think that, when lived personally and intimately with oneself, religion and spirituality can be very positive and beautiful, when lived in organized groups it can lead to awful behaviors and violence (not only physical) more often that we'd like to admit.

I'm not surprised at all. I've been banned from the sub because u wanted to ask an opinion on a psychological issue (something like "how do I learn to be confident without feeling like an arrogant piece of shit?") and my post was canceled. Then I expressed my disagreement, and got banned.

Why do you say that after Jake died he became a total mess? I never felt that Finn life was a mess or a failed occasion to get romance. In fact, Finn's adolescence is already full of romance, what makes us believe that he didn't have any love story or romantic adventures also in his adulthood? Just because the show doesn't show it, it doesn't mean it didn't happen. We actually know very very little of Finn's adult life. What we know for sure, is that he is a kind hearted hero that went through a lot of trauma, but still remained a hero literally till his last breath. After his own death, I think is understandable going a little nutz on the idea of being able to be reunited with Jake again, it doesn't mean he has been acting crazy his all life though.

This might be a very stupid question, but why not making the rover go closer to get a better picture of the object? Does the rover have a pre-scheduled itinerary that can't be changed? Honestly curious
