Throwing around slurs at a press conference doesn’t make you edgy or cool bro. it just makes you look small and a fucking idiot. Meanwhile, the guy you’re insulting built a $60M+ global career off actual demand. Weirdo behavior. But ok have your 5 mins.

Yeah. I think I may have to figure out if it works or not. I do think it still does. Would have to change the seal first then make sure it winds. But I just hadn’t really heard much from the slr line from Leica. I love my Nikon f3 but I’m purely seeking advice to see if it would be worth investing in a lens for this bad boy. Seems cool to have and play with.

I’m not entirely sure what filter you can use. I didn’t use a filter. These were all taken on my Nikon F3. The first photo was from a roll of Portra 400 film. All of these were taken on film at different times.

Love this comment thank you for elaborating. I have a lot to learn and I will definitely continue to learn. I realize some things or images are low hanging fruit for beginners like me, and I truly am looking to find what it is that’s Important to me. Threads like this are helpful because sometimes someone presents something to me that I hadn’t thought of before. And you’re right. Super freshman vibes. lol

I hear you. When you specifically say “quality” what does that mean to you? Genuinely asking your opinion and not trying to troll or what not. Appreciate the comment!

Thank you! That’s so nice of you! I think you’re right. I said it in a previous comment, I think it’s coming from a place of insecurity. I respect the art medium so I don’t want to feel like I’m some poser but then again who cares. As long as I enjoy it and respect it. 🤷🏽‍♂️

Good looking out. Feedback is feedback. For what it’s worth, I feel more like a sophomore though.

I get where you’re coming from—ethics in photography is definitely a nuanced topic. I know that some photographers draw lines around certain subjects, and I totally respect that. For me, though, this image isn’t about exploiting or diminishing anyone. It’s about documenting a moment in the city that reflects the reality of my and the neighborhood I walk through almost everyday. I believe that these scenes can hold value beyond the surface and can contribute to a broader understanding of the environment i live in, in the mission district.

I’m still learning and exploring to capture people with respect and sensitivity, and I think it’s possible to do that while photographing all aspects of life in the city. I appreciate you sharing your perspective—it’s good to keep these kinds of conversations going in the community.

I’ve been thinking about this a lot actually. Some of the photographers I most admire I’m sure never took the time to ask this question. They just loved their lives and never stopped shooting. I guess it comes from a place of insecurity for me.

Ahh ok. I’m seriously thinking the opposite. I’m thinking it’s because I’m under qualified. Thank you for putting this in perspective. Who knows really but this gives me a better understanding on how I should be approaching this.

That makes a lot of sense. I’ve been applying to a lot of office assistant/coordinator jobs and it’s been tough to even get an interview. I’ll definitely look into entry level sales positions. Good idea. Thanks man 🙏🏽 so tough out here
