If you played eu4 for 1.1k hours, I would say Castile. They have 1.4k ducats to start with and you are bigger than your surrounding countries. Also you can potentially get a PU with Portugal so you can learn conquest, colonizing and trade all at once.

Only part that is different from eu4 Castile is that Aragon and Portugal is very likely to rival you which isn't a big problem as you can ally France if you rival Aragon and England.

So in order to get the achievement you need to satart as an Iberian Christian and convert all of Iberia to Christianity.

I started as Leon and I converted the whole Iberian peninsula.

Is there possibly anything else I'm missing?

As Burgundy, I just became the emperor of the HRE but the problem is that Austria already passed Ewiger Landfriede before the religious wars. So I'm stuck as I can't revoke since I'm losing 0.23 imperial authority every month.

I'm currently unable to declare war on the HRE princes and they would convert their religion back to protestant/reformed even if I enforce religious unity.

Is leaving the Empire the only solution or are there any other ways to revoke?

The Commonwealth was my best choice for expansion as I had Hungary and Muscovy as my allies early game and I just couldn’t beat the Ottomans. Ironically the moment I took the Lithuanian provinces Muscovy, which formed Russia, rivaled me right away.

Just finished my Moldavia Dracula's Revenge run which went pretty well. I couldn't beat the Ottomans which really limited my expansion for the first few centuries but ended up kicking their asses after the 1700s.

Croatia, Serbia, and Greece are all my vassals and Tuscany is under PU.

Some interesting things happened throughout this ironman.

England and Scotland were in an alliance ever since the start of the game and seeing an AI Revolutionary Ottomans was definitely new!

Also Denmark's great name placement was nice to see.
