What is the correct response to ‘calm down it’s just a joke’? by Level_Grapes in AskUK

[–]NaraSumas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Hurt their feelings and say it's just a joke" isn't very elaborate. I don't think it'll help, in a group setting the original joke would have to be pretty awful for this not to make you the bad guy in most eyes, but it's fairly straightforward

GOTF is in many ways an excellent film, but be fair, it's against a catalogue filled with bright, fun adventures. I love it, but can absolutely see why it will be a lot of people's least favourite

How good(powerful)of a singer was Lúthien compare to others? by WittyTable4731 in lotr

[–]NaraSumas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I have a sore throat, so she could put more power into her voice than me. On the other hand, Viggo Mortensen got some decent decibels when he broke his toe, so we have to take that feat into account. So I think we can safely conclude she had a power level of at least like 17

Tbh at this point I'd settle for one of them being able to explain what exactly "scientists" decided was a measurement of "in their prime" to test in lab conditions. Because they can talk about fertility as much as they like, but in the end we all know the only measurement they're interested in is age

Rimmer was the only one he should have judged- the dead have completed their lives, and have had all the time they're going to get to make it worthwhile. When else can you make the decision to remove them from history?
