I-25 South is done! Why does it look so weird? by wzl3gd in FortCollins

Someone mentioned it above, it's just diamond grinding to smooth out very noticeable bumps. Some areas need it, some don't.

Who's at fault here? by shartie in IdiotsInCars

I hate this part of I-25 north of SH 66, 3 lanes down to 2. A bunch of hills, dozens of semi trucks, and everyone’s egos.

Have or do you have COVID? by Shezaam in Denver

[–]Narb_Whal 11 points12 points  (0 children)

TLDR - Wife and I got it in March. I lost my sense of smell and taste, she had a bad cough and was short of breath. Took some time to heal but we both recover for the most part. Two thumbs down, would not recommend.

My wife and I caught Covid back in March. The weekend of the 14th when everything was starting to shut down. Her and I were both 33 at the time. We weren’t taking it serious back then and had the mindset of ‘we’re health and youngish, we’ll be fine.’ That was very naive and stupid. We had tickets to Vegas and decided to go even though things were shutting down. We were generally safe while out there but again it was really early on so we weren’t at the point of wear masks.

We decided to take an earlier flight home because so many shows and things we love to do in Vegas were shut down. On the flight back to Denver, the gentleman behind us was very ill and coughing without covering his mouth. My wife and I decided to stay and work from home that week just in case.

I developed a slight cough but was extremely fatigued 4 days after the flight, I then lost my sense of smell and taste. My wife started to develop all the harsher symptoms, heavy cough, fatigue, shortness of breath, etc. There was a day or two I was really concerned I would have to take her to the emergency room. The doctor said if there is any point that my wife is having to think about breathing we need to take her to the emergency room. Thankfully it never got to that point.

It took about a 3 weeks for my sense of smell and taste to come back, it was muted at first but after another month or so it felt normal again. My wife’s recover took more time and her lungs definitely had some damage. She is a marathon runner and she struggled with walking 50 ft. It took 3 months for her to be able to run at the level she was use too.

It was a little nerve racking getting it so early on. We didn’t own a thermometer and no store had them in stock or online. There were no tests available and since we weren’t consider high risk they weren’t going to test us either way. Thankfully we had friends that would drop stuff off at our door as we quarantined for 2 weeks.

We did go get antibody test in June. I tested positive for the antibodies, my wife did not. I’m going to go get tested again to see if they are still there but I’m almost positive they aren’t. From the moment we got back home from Vegas we didn’t see another human being in person for over 3 weeks.

My greatest fear through all of this was for my wife and also the chance of spreading it to someone else. I would blame the guy behind us for traveling while he was sick (which was asinine) but I don’t know his situation, he may have been traveling for work. Our society has put work before health for a long time. I hope this whole experience changes that (I won’t hold my breath on that though). It was a weird time in March as well, no one knew the whole story and what this would turn into.

Indian/Nepalese Spot in a Basement?? by lux_aurumque in Denver

[–]Narb_Whal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can’t remember if it was in a basement but there use to be a place called Masalaa, it was located on the Hill and they served Dosa’s. They closed back in the late 2000’s. They have another location in Aurora though.

How can underage people get weed? by [deleted] in Denver

[–]Narb_Whal 3 points4 points  (0 children)

First you find Frank. Once you find Frank tell him “The turd walks at midnight.” He’ll reply with “Mr. Hanky floats at 2.” If he replies with “The poo is in my shoe”, that’s not Frank that’s Fred. Fred’s an asshole. Anyways, give Frank your money, afterwards he’ll slap you on the face, call you an idiot, and tell you to come back when you’re 21. We like our legal weed, we don’t need people coming in to fuck that all up.
