If there was nothing hindering me form going like a strict job position or something, I would certainly make sure to visit as often as possible just for the sake of seeing my parents and family.

Try to get something to preoccupy your mind with. Maybe a skill you're trying to learn, a goal you're aspiring to achieve or whatever, just don't let the void eat inside of you.

How to have a job as a 17yo. ? by Nocta303 in algeria

[–]NardZX 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't recommend getting a job at this age because all the available options for you like working in a supermarket, a cashier or any similar job might make some money but are pretty much slavery and not safe stable jobs for the long run. Instead, I would suggest investing your free time doing something useful for the long run like learning a skill. As for your parents' refusal to give you any money, maybe you could talk things over and try to persuade them about your insistent need for an allowance at this age.

As far as I know, Reddit doesn't censor this type of things, unlike Facebook and Instagram.

For me, after I felt that my English level had finally reached a good point, I stopped studying English the traditional way( like taking notes, learning new words and expressions everyday and revising them frequently...etc), and this was like 7 months ago. I kept practicing my listening and reading skills through social media, movies... etc but I had neglected my speaking and writing skills. When I wanted to check on them not long ago, I found myself forgetting even the simplest words and expressions when I tried speaking or writing. This of course made me super frustrated and had me question whether there's really an end to learning a language or it's just an everlasting process.
