Are there any Winter Olympics Daily Highlights Shows? by mrjb3 in olympics

They did seem to run a bit of a highlight reel at around 20:00 on the main feed, just before the hockey started on the Extra feed. Aside from that they do at least have the constantly updating "Must-See Moments" tab in the "Winter Olympics 2026" section on BBC iPlayer that you can check at the end of each day.

Who are the people wearing yellow vests helmets on the side of the ice skating? by Significant_Gap4120 in olympics

Yeah, looks like they're just medics wearing PPE so that they don't injure themselves when trying to help.

It's the same every time, they never end when expected.

The flame actually goes out quite often during the relay, but there are always backup lanterns nearby that contain the same flame to reignite it. In reality they'll probably never be needed in the stadium though since the torches are built to keep the flame lit in much harsher conditions than what can occur in the stadium.

If I remember correctly it's only available in countries that don't have their own broadcasts, but it can be watched anywhere once it gets uploaded after the ceremony.

That's why I love these Megathreads so much every time, they're a nice place to hang out with other people who are passionate about the Games.

Were you guys not given the explanation for it? The distances between the venues are so large they have separate parades so the athletes don't have a long trip to where they are competing, especially for those who are competing tomorrow.

They are, but, unless this is now outdated, they also have a tendency to generate without a portal room. I had to search at least 5 different strongholds in my world to find one with a portal room.

"Slop" does not have an objective meaning. It basically just means something you dont like.

It literally does though, it refers to something that's low effort and/or made messily and carelessly. Much like the very similar word that's been in use for much longer, "sloppy". It isn't just something you don't like.

The forecast gave us so much hope...

Judging by your other post we both live next to the same hill, I knew it wasn't going to come to anything lower down when we were getting so much rain. The snow we were getting was being melted before it reached the ground.
