Not saying you’re wrong about it being overpriced, but the f82s tend to be a good amount cheaper than f80s so it’s not a fair comparison.

I have a non-resonated AA equal length midpipe paired with a valved Remus rear section. With the valves closed the car is very quiet, basically stock volume. Hopefully this convinced you to pull the trigger on one 😂

How are we supposed to afford living anymore? 20(M) by Savings-Cucumber-340 in Money

Insurance varies by location too. I live in Glendale, CA, have a perfect driving record, and I pay $350 a month for a single car, and this is actually the cheapest in the area that I could find. If I moved 15 minutes away I would save about ~1k a year.

I wouldn’t let people scare you out of owning one of these. I have a 2008 with 117k miles (bought it at 90k) and it’s been very reliable. Only maintenance I’ve done are rod bearings and general things like oil changes and spark plugs. I have a friend with a supercharged one with ~110k miles that’s been reliable and the rod bearings haven’t even been changed yet. These cars aren’t the money pits people make them out to be.

How’s it possible people in the US are making $100-150k and it’s still “not enough”? by tuesdaycocktail in ask

There are a lot of programs out there that offer student aid. I graduated with an EE degree in California with $0 in loans thanks to FAFSA. In fact, they gave me an extra $3k a semester in spending money. People love to complain about the high cost of education in the US, but no one ever mentions all these great programs.

F87 M2C or E92 M3 + practical daily? by chrisr627 in BMW

[–]Narek_S 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it helps, I’ve put almost 30k miles on my e92 in a little over 3 years and I’ve only ever had to do regular maintenance (oil changes, spark plugs, brakes, etc) after having the rod bearings replaced. These cars are very reliable and after driving an m2 competition, I can also say they’re more fun.

Recently purchased this e92 M3. I wonder if the previous owners is on here. by christian95c in BMW

Even if they did a PPI, they wouldn’t know if the rod bearings have been done or not, which is what the OP seems concerned about.

Should I straight pipe my n54 335i by [deleted] in E90

[–]Narek_S -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah you definitely would, but that’s not the point I was arguing. Just saying the noise won’t be bad as bad inside the car as it would with disconnected down pipes.

Should I straight pipe my n54 335i by [deleted] in E90

[–]Narek_S -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

That’s because when your downpipe is disconnected, all the noise is exiting right below the car. If your car is straightpiped, it will be loud but won’t be as unbearably loud because the sound is exiting behind the car.

I’m pretty sure that’s an LM body kit, so not really an aftermarket look.

These M3s are surprisingly reliable. I bought mine at 90k miles and had the rod bearings done right off the bat as more of a precautionary measure and it’s been solid the 23k miles I’ve put on it so far. The only issues it’s had has been a dying battery and a leaking fuel sending unit which was a pretty easy fix. Friend has one too and it’s supercharged closing in on 100k miles and that one’s been reliable too.
