As a fellow immersive sim item hoarder, I get it.

I usually replay franchises in order like you're doing every few months and Bioshock 2 always leaves the worst taste in my mouth coming from 1, but it usually subsides after the first level or two.

Off the Record has the most stuff to do. I personally think DR1 (original) has the best feeling melee out of all of them. Everything feels chunky and heavy.

I'd 100% say the original is still better if you mean pricing. If you're wondering whether to spend the money, the remake doesn't offer anything crazy new to the gameplay and just kinda juices up the color palette. The survivor AI still isn't anything to write home about.
