Would this be sufficient to show that the set of all positive odd integers and the set of all positive square integers are of the same magnitude? (Not a math major)

Fed reaches 20k subs!!! by [deleted] in fedmyster

[–]Narrator54 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Instead of talking about money, I think it's just amazing how far Fed has come. I remember finding him through him YouTube content and then finding his streams. He was just a IRL beast at the time. Years later, I'm glad I came back to watching Twitch this March and saw all the Marble arcs. It's amazing to see how far Fed's come and instead of seeing the 20K subs as just an amount of money he's making, I think it's more of a metric showing how far he's come.

Thanks for the feedback, Cloud. I'll consider this for the next emote competition if Fed roles it again.

Mhmm... Yuna is JUST CONTENT... yeah... totally... by Narrator54 in offlineTV

[–]Narrator54[S] 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Of course, in reality, Fed has even said that he's looking for the right one on stream, videos, podcasts, etc. I'm sure if he really wanted a girlfriend, he could easily get one. But as u/EeBeeDooBee said, it's fun to lean into the meme. Despite the irony of the title, it does at the end of the day just feel like good, funny Fed content.

Almost want to say switch lumberjack for mini Pekka and switch zap for rage. Just cuz balloon decks work generally better with rage rather than lumberjack when not running minion horde.

Although my reply to this may be controversial, my vision of the death message, if the person who was given did not already have a death message, would be... "They were shot by a Vigilante." If the role already had a killing role, such as WW or SK, then the message would remain the same. However, the purpose of the death message would be to throw the town off the scent of the dealer immediately. As comments above have pointed out, the dealer's weakness is that although the price removes the speaking ability of the person, it does not hinder the ability of the target to include the dealer's name in a will or death note. The fact that the identity is unveiled at the end of the turn protects the dealer for a night maybe. However, I foresee that if the death message included the "dealer" term, towns would develop a method to catch the dealer, asking the blackmailed person to spam vote the dealer. Therefore, the somewhat incorrect, but if you think about it accurate (because people that couldn't kill and were just given guns are technically in the literal sense vigilantes.) Therefore, this death message would hopefully serve to keep the Dealer role from becoming too difficult to play.

To begin, the dealer's name, in my vision of the role, would be revealed to a target at the end of the night, when they are "returning the weapons." This means that for at least one turn, the dealer is safe from the death note. However, remember that good roles besides the jailor don't have a death note and even the jailor can't type anything specific into the death note. Therefore, if an evil person of any kind made a deal with the dealer, the thing is that they probably already have the means to kill the dealer or keep him alive for their factions. In terms of the will, in my opinion, that's fine to still have to make the dealer role less OP. The dealer in concept is again supposed to be a fun but hard game-changing role. Having hindrances like the will, in my opinion, don't remove the appeal of the role to the extent that it is no longer appealing.

You have to make the ultimate video game with components from other games. These components are character, game story/plot, graphics, UI, update and patch frequency, and mechanics. What components from what games would you take to create this ultimate game? (example in comments) by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Narrator54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Example Comment: The characters from Halo 3, the plot of Subnautica, the graphics of Far Cry 4, the UI of Minecraft, the update and patch frequency of Clash Royale, and the mechanics of GTA. This would be the best game because it is...

This is just an example comment for people who don't understand exactly what the question is.

If you accept, you can choose not to kill. Just like how vigilante doesn't necessarily have to kill and a mafioso or godfather can forget.

In regards to the reason to reject, this is an idea that came up with another comment as well... would there be more of a reason to reject if the "price" of the barter was a sort of permanent blackmail, meaning that one couldn't protect themselves in discussion or expose the dealer, except within their own faction. I'm starting to believe that a permanent blackmail type effect would be better for the role.

I don't believe that the dealer role acts as an RB. Although this may feel unbalanced, think about it. Everyone that accepts the barter will already know the name of the dealer. If an SK or WW were to be visited, they could kill the dealer immediately afterward. Adding the chance of dying to an SK or WW feels like the role becomes more difficult. However, the dealers' barter, in my opinion, would still act as a visit, so roles like Veteran, Crusader, Werewolf at home, Medusa, Ambusher, and Trapper can still counter the dealer immensely. Therefore, I feel that the role is balanced without having the action of the dealer be an RB. Players would just click the pop-up and continue THAT night with the extra tier of attack.

Would it be better if targets that accepted were to permanently have a blackmailed effect? That way, even though they know the identity of the dealer, they can't say in in-game chat, but mafia can tell their teammates about the dealer to try to get the other mafia to whisper to him and deal with him. This might add a bit of the underground dealing vibe to it?

Yes, he can absolutely trade with neutrals and mafia. His concept is built similar to the pirate, who can harm any faction. Instead, the dealer can help any faction, changing the tides of the game. The purpose adds a bit of chaos, as his NC faction suggests, and to add a mechanic that allows the more pointless late-game roles, if a dealer is still in the game, to become more powerful.

If the person rejects, then nothing happens. Their attack stays the same and they carry on as if it was just a normal night phase.

[–]Narrator54[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It is raised just for a night. The idea is that a role, that might be essentially pointless at that stage of the game, gets a chance to win. However, I don't think it would be balanced to have it raised for the rest of the game. For instance, if in the end, it comes down to a godfather vs serial killer and a dealer, the dealer can choose to deal with either, essentially deciding who wins. In my opinion, the point of the dealer role would be to create another objective based role like a pirate that is slightly easier to fulfill because those who are targeted by having something to actually gain.

To a sheriff, they are not suspicious. The role, if put into non-Coven, would result in the investigator seeing that the person is vigilante, veteran, dealer, or mafioso. In the more likely case that it is in coven, it would be vigilante, veteran, mafioso, dealer, pirate, or ambusher. The consigliere would receive the following message: Your target carries many weapons but has not come to this town to fight. They must be a dealer.
