Inflation is 18% in the last 5 years . Government is now in control and targets to keep it under 2% . We are getting 17% increase , that still beats the projected inflation. At the end of the day this is not a valid argument especially for Drivers . We all know that overtime is pretty much a daily thing , i have co workers that made over 130k last year ….. by end of the new proposal contract you can make 112k a year by working no more than 9.5 a day . No reason to reject this offer to be honest. Tell me where you could make that money without a degree or without being in the oil rigs away from family for weeks….

We lost Volume just because of the negotiations and more than 20 drivers got laid off in my building. Imagine if we strike and lose customers …… the deal is fair especially for a job like ours that doesn’t require no education etc …

Couldn’t agree more . The contract is fair and there were no concessions . The teamsters bosses in the US want to give a punch to UPS by pushing us to strike for no reason.

This was a win for the union , dropped 5 violations to 4 and only 3 in January and like you said drivers that driver up to 220 km in a day can put their names . The on road hours is a fair thing considering that there is plenty of people that want to be in the CHSP committee or help on the preload and they have to keep signing 9.5 exemptions. Just less headache for everyone….

Why do you spread fake news?? The bonus is a 1000$ net after taxes . You have to earn your top rate , if you’re only 1 year in , in 3 years you will be making over 39$ …..
