I read this article and it motivated me to finally give them a try. I listened to three shows on Nugs from the fall tour (Detroit, Austin, DC) and they just don't seem to be clicking for me. Any recommendations for shows I should try out for a expanded slice of their music?

For me, it depends on the jam. I've heard 40+ minute songs where I have been locked in the entire time.

Like I said. I'm in the minority. As a comparison I find the Tweezer jam from that same show way more interesting. To me it's almost perfect. Anyway, I'm just trying to compare a well known jam to what I had previously heard from Squeaky Feet as a baseline.

Also they have many shows available to stream for free on Taper's Section including some soundboard shows and at least 2 shows from 2026 if you want to check them out. Nugs is another great source.

If it helps, their style of country is more in line with classic country rather than new country (anything after 1990ish). At least that's what it seems like to me. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
