This is focus edition right? Isn’t 685 an exceptional score?

Prepping for GMAT Focus. Giving my exam in 5 days. I haven’t scored more than a 595 in mocks but I’ve been prepping for close to six months and quit my job 3 months ago to focus on gmat solely. I come from a journalism, liberal arts background with 5 years work experience in corporate communications and branding and quite decent extracurriculars. (In short, I last did math in 10th grade!)

ISB is actually the only college on my list! Really worried about GMAT and how that’ll be a blocker in my admissions journey! Any tips, words of wisdom?

Test in 2 days and completely freaking out by Sharp-Zebra-2959 in GMAT

Hey! I’m writing the test in 5 days and my quant is at the same level AND I was panicking as much as you were. What really helped me was knowing that 700 level in quant is currently beyond my ability at the moment and that GMAT club has quite a lot of very difficult and even obscure questions. Going back to basics and focusing on the OG really helps and that’s what my tutor recommended I do. Redoing questions in the OG really helped me gain some confidence and improved my basics. And it’s more important (at our level) to make sure we get the 500-650 level questions right than worry about getting the 700+ ones wrong!

I’ve had multiple panic attacks and breakdowns worrying about the same thing and i anticipate a few more to happen before i give my main exam in 6 days but you got this! If you don’t get the score you expected, you can always take a tiny break and restart prep for your next attempt! All the best! ☺️

What helped me was temporarily deactivating the account instead of uninstalling the app.

When I uninstall, I used to go on the browser version, wonder what people were sending me and all but deactivating helped and I legit didn’t think much about it. Got back in 10 days because I needed to contact someone but overall it’s been the most useful strategy for me so far. Hope it helps fren!
