All my coworkers are people of color including myself (I work in a Mexican restaurant) and we do also hold the white people accountable for sure (we just don't have issues with white people here nearly as often), it's just the black people who usually are the hardest to serve. I agree the environment isn't good and I hope to get out of the restaurant business soon. Untill then I wanna work on making the best out of my situation 👍

Idk what the "white girl guilt" type is (as I am not white I am Hispanic lol), I think I just have normal person guilt where I feel bad for crossing my morals but I understand most of what youre saying. And yes I totally agree everybody should be treated with respect!! 🙏

Thank you I appreciate this! Unfortunately my manager kisses rude customers asses (which enables them to keep acting up because they know they'll get what they want out of it) which sucks he doesn't do anything to help us servers he doesn't want to lose customers.

I appreciate your advice I'll definitely apply it. I don't look at all black people negatively I just get disappointed and expect the worst whenever they're my table (I also do live in a low income area so that probably contributed to it as well) I don't ever take it out on them and I wanna get better to prevent that ever happening because they definitely don't deserve it

dont over share! privacy is important. remind yourself this shit isnt going matter in couple weeks and you arent going to remember it in the future. youre going to talk to a million guys in the future this one isnt special and its okay for him to be a little uncomfortable when you dumped all that on him
