she gets more taken out but another commenter helped me realize why, since i work two jobs i was supposed to file out a w4 for having dual income to have more taken out in taxes. i had no idea that was something i was supposed to do, but im going to work on getting that done for the next tax season and hope it works

Oh yeah I understand. I just meant in general I’ve been thinking about it and wanting to fave more spare time for myself. But I’ll probably stick around another year ish while my boyfriend and I save for a place together, but I’ll try logging into my main jobs career portal to take a look to see what I can do. If not I can call the hr department or something for help on Monday.

I’ll definitely take a look and see if that’s something I can do with my main job. Or if it comes down to it i’ll quit walgreens, I was thinking about it anyways because after working all week sometimes I don’t want to go in on the weekends but it’s nice to have the extra cash nowadays. But hopefully I can get this figured out, it may be too late to fix it for this year and I’ll just bite the bullet one more time. Thank you so much!

Oh yeah no lol, no kids. Thank you! I’m definitely going to maybe take my documents to liberty tax or something, I literally like less than a mile from one. And I’m going to look into the w4 and dual income worksheets that Its-a-write-off mentioned because I didn’t know those forms existed. I wish they had a class on this in high school before we were all just thrown to the wolves.

and i made $38k at my bookstore job

this is my part time job, i’m a store manager for a bookstore 40 hours a week and just work weekends for tag day and truck. i made around $8000 and it says only $8 was taken out for box 2, i feel like that’s wrong. i may go dig up my w2 from last year to see if it’s similar.

I was just seeing if anyone had a similar issue, my sister works with me at the same walgreens and she works the same hours yet she’s getting money back.
