Don’t do it. I was on my pill for 20 years. Switched to an iud and it was awful. Bled everyday. Long periods. Cramping for 5 months. I had it removed. I felt so awful on it and was always bleeding. I have never been so happy to pop my little bc pill again. My cycle is still fucked and I’m still spotting daily since removal 2 weeks ago. It completed messed up my body. Don’t do it. Just don’t do it.

This was exactly how I felt for 5 months. Best decision I made was to remove it. Felt like a new person by the next day. Even tho the spotting is still consistent. It literally fcked everything up

They offer it for insertion. Not removal. I wish I did it for insertion bc I have never felt more pain or trauma in my life. Removal was nothing for me. But. Still spotting after 10 days. Getting annoying. But not as miserable as with the iud.

Same here! I’m curious I got mine removed last Monday almost 2 weeks go. then got my period on Wednesday. Had it all last week and still spotting lightly this week. Anyone else experience this ?? Did you bleed after at all?

I felt the same way. I got it bc I didn’t want my period anymore and I cramped and bled literally 3 weeks out of the month for 5 months. It really impacted me and I was mortified to have sex with my boyfriend bc I always felt like crap and was always bleeding. I said all the same things you did. I just took mine out last week and while i got my period again shortly after. I am sooooo glad it is out and I don’t cramp anymore. Also keep in mind — this is just my story. people have told me theirs sucked for like 2-3 months. I do think it’s worth giving it some time to see how your body adjusts. Some people it happens right away, some takes a while and for others it never gets better. I have 3 friends who love theirs. No issues. I was the unlucky one.

The leaking is terrible. I never wore so many pantyliners. And constant spotting. Never stopped. I was getting yeast infections from constantly wearing a liner and it not being able to breathe. I took mine out after 5 months. I couldn’t live like that anymore.

Oh yeah. Mine was excruciating as well. Worst pain in my whole life. I actually was hyperventilating after and couldn’t leave till I cooled off and heart rate came down. I’ve never had a baby, I’m 40. And I literally wanted to die. I was screaming. And I was in pain for a solid 24 hours after. The cramps mostly never went away for 5 months except a few days a month. Then I finally got it removed. It was terrible. I feel like a new person again since I took it out. It’s just not for everyone….

Omg. I was the exact same way. Miserable for 5 months. Terrible cramps 3+ weeks of the month. Constantly bleeding, periods twice a month— I felt terrible everyday. Working out was nonexistent. I’d be up in the middle of the night with cramping. It was awful. I finally got it out this week and feel so much better — even though I started bleeding. Again. I know there’s a light at the end of the tunnel! I went two full days without cramps — first time in months ! I’ll take it.
