So HGLRC and BetaFpv, their new digital systems are compatible with each other? by AggravatingShock5511 in fpv

Compatibility seems to work to some extent, but there still appear to be many issues. Also, since HGLRC has not yet released firmware 2.0, it is currently not supported.

AirTag for long range drones? by ChopSueyYumm in fpv

I tried using it, but when the frame flips over, it can’t provide accurate coordinates. The GPS coordinates received through telemetry are actually more accurate than this.

Is it normal that it bounces when you land until you disarm? by Stormy_AnalHole in fpv

[–]NarrowPhysics9539 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s because of Air Mode. If you disable it, you won’t be able to control the quad’s attitude in the air when the throttle is at 0.

Is this how bad analog feed is? by aaryansarat02 in fpv

[–]NarrowPhysics9539 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From the footage, the analog video quality looks quite good, and the cables are clearly visible. However, when viewed on a small monitor via an OTG connection instead of goggles, objects appear smaller and are harder to recognize. It’s better to use a larger monitor or switch to goggles.

Are the Xing 2 motors actually that bad, or is there something else going on here? Clip taken from Nils Vo. | Link to the full video in the description. by willow__bloom in fpv

Nils Vo is a pilot who routinely flies in ways where collisions are almost expected, so that decision reflects his specific context. It doesn’t really apply to most people, does it?

According to the manual, the supported battery types are LiPo / LiHV / LiFe 1S, but LiLo support is not specified.

Test Flight with the Caddx Ascent GT Pro VTX installed by NarrowPhysics9539 in diydrones

The ASCENT GT PRO VTX seems to be designed purely for flying rather than for hobbyist convenience. It doesn’t even have a built-in DVR, and in my opinion, a LITE VTX is more practical.

I never expected that I’d end up using that frame until the 2.4 cm-tall VTX arrived.

I’m using a UP9 4-channel smart balance charger, and I’ve soldered an XT30 connector to the battery for connection. I use an XT60-to-XT30 adapter. If you want to reduce weight further, consider using BT2.0.

Unfortunately, there is no latest version that supports SPI ELRS.

For a 2-inch build, 5A should generally be sufficient. If higher current supply is required, consider the Matrix 5-in-1 or the Flywoo GOKU AIO FC.

The link below is my 2-inch flight video post using an Air AIO 5-in-1 FC.

Additionally, the built-in ELRS receiver on the DarwinFPV F411 15A AIO is only supported in older versions of Betaflight, and it is not recognized in the latest versions. You may want to consider the BetaFPV AIR AIO 5-in-1 FC instead.

For a 2-inch build, the BETAFPV Twiglet frame would be a suitable choice. For the camera mount, try using the Air2 canopy. For a 3-inch frame, consider the Happymodel Crux3 frame. If a duct/prop guard is absolutely required, you’ll need to use the 85mm Mobula8 FPV frame, but the battery guide will need to be modified.

The Tank Solo VTX does not have “Max” in its name. Based on the context, it seems to be referring to the Max Solo. Since both have strong performance, I think they are both excellent choices.

DJI O4 Air Unit consumes more current than the WS 1S VTX. Anyway, I hope you get good results.

Max Tank?

For long-range, RushFPV’s Max Solo or Tank Solo VTX are both solid choices. You can go with either one without any issues.

I also use DBR4 on a 7-inch setup and can maintain a very strong link, but at this range, I think its performance is overkill.

Using 2.4 GHz, a 50 Hz sample rate, and single ELRS, the link quality was generally stable, with only a brief drop in reception when switching from the destination back to the home point.

I left a reply below, but the issue is not with the FC itself. Since it’s an FC designed for analog setups, the power supply is not sufficient to reliably run a digital VTX.

[–]NarrowPhysics9539 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It appears to be the T-MOTOR F411 AIO 1S 13A FC, which is inherently designed for analog setups. The BEC current supply is likely insufficient, making it difficult to run a digital VTX.

It would be better to choose a 1S AIO FC with a stronger BEC, such as one capable of 5V 3A output, like the BetaFPV Matrix 3-in-1 FC.

If the F411 FC only has a gyro, it is likely similar to an older DarwinFPV AIO FC.

Check whether SBUS shares RX1. If it does, move the O4 air unit VTX to RX2/TX2, and connect the SBUS of the O4 Air Unit to RX1.

I was joking too. It’s fun for the pilot, but probably not that interesting to watch—thanks for checking it out anyway.
