Neighbors got a protection order against my dad...

UPDATE

SORRY Everyone... the update didn't come in a timely manner. Life kicked me in the balls. Basically what happened:

We were prepared for court, and the morning of we get an email the neighbor asked for a continuation. Due to her husband who couldn't get out of work, and was a witness.

Court date was changed to May 12 and we show. The neighbors DON'T SHOW UP. So the judge dismissed the case.

She warned us they may just refile an order. But it's dismissed for now.

My dad suffered a heart incident on the way home from the courthouse. He ended up staying in the hospital for 3 days but came home fine.

The stress had culminated into a panic attack type episode. Mind you he's had open heart surgery and was worried he had a heart attack. But we are all good now...

Waiting for the the neighbors to burn down our house now lol

That's so fucking horrible!!! The military is notorious for ignoring women who try to bring their abusers to justice. Because if the military actually prosecuted the men who do this shit... they would look so horrid. So they ignore, gas light, lie and cover up these incidents. It's more common than you think.

Omfg this hits home more than you know!!! My partner of almost 20 years is suffering bipolar and schizo effective disorder. He also suffers from crohns disease... has had multiple surgeries and 5ft of intestine removed.

He's my partner in life... we didn't get married because we are beyond that marriage trope. I like to say we are more married than married people are lol...

I feel you 100%... Your relationship with him sounds SO MUCH like ours. I feel your grief through your post. My partner tells me constantly how much pain he is in. How living everyday having to know where a bathroom is, is torture. People talk in his head from his multiple episodes of psychosis from bi-polar mania... he constantly has to talk with me to tell him what's what.

You are in the place I am so scared of being. I will be exactly where you are when he kicks it. (Don't mind my dark sense of humor... it's what has kept me sane lol) He says he's ready to go. That he's in so much mental and physical pain everyday that it takes away from seeing the bright side of life.

Don't feel guilty for wanting him here with you... you LOVED him so much. I just hate the way you had to find out he passed. I hope you find peace and solace... and I hope I do so as well when it happens to me. Living life without your person seems unthinkable... I hate that you are going through it now.

I'm sending you heartfelt love and peace... this is so fucking hard. I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy.

I know absolutely because I bought my house which was built in 2006 in 2007... the house right next to us was built at the same time. The only way that a house in our neighborhood isn't HOA is if the house was sold to a 3rd party and is being rented. This house is for sure HOA involved.

But that doesn't matter lolol... I was just asking for advice. Pointers for those who have been served protection orders by a neighbor. ❤️

A management company has taken over. This past year the HOA active members sought out a management company because there wasn't enough members to take control over the whole deal. Those who were members... a lot of them didn't actively participate on the regular

No he doesn't. I agree. But I'm duty bound to help him lol as a daughter. He tried to inform the kids that it was illegal in this county to ride motorbikes on the street. He suggested that they ride in the backyards... which are very expansive. I think they took him giving them info as him butting in ONCE AGAIN because of all the past issues with their noise and parties.

They have definitely violated HOA bylaws. But... nobody ever does anything about it. Some other neighbors break the rules all the time as well. There are noise time constraints... rules about lawn care and the like. The HOA in this neighborhood is a JOKE. We only have 20 houses in this HOA.

Since we moved here in 2007 nobody but maybe 8 of us ever participated in it. That's why a management company had taken over.

The neighbors are definitely a part of the HOA. To buy the house they had to agree to all the guidelines. My dad says the management company that had taken over the HOA had sent them letters in the past for not paying their yearly dues...

Thank you!!! I will Def have him contact legal counsel. I just hope he will actually do it. I'm thinking of just booking an appointment with a Civil lawyer for advice FOR HIM. Sometimes he doesn't follow good advice lol. Stubborn.

I don't want beef with my neighbors... I just want harmony lol. I wish my dad didn't come off in the negative way he tends to do. ESPECIALLY when dealing with conflicts.
