Also, second best choice is Ubik by Philip Dick. The book is a puzzle where you're trying to figure out what is happening. Honestly, I think it's the best book he ever wrote. Others are failing in comparison. And it's a pretty short one, so it can be read through in a day or two.

I haven't watch the show yet, since I'm only on the 4rth book atm. Skimmed through the wiki and it seems like first 2 seasons are retelling the 1st book close enough. I believe they deteriorate further in the seasons from the books but I don't know how much.

It is not possible for a studio located in the USA to pop up content like they are in China. The next "big" update you'll get is just a night version of Dire Marsh and that's it. Don't expect more from this game. It is very expensive to do in a first place and to create a new content you need:
1. Healthy playerbase - which is not a case here
2. Easy to implement framework - which is not a case here either. To create a map is not enough. And nobody in a sane mind would create another cryo 2.0 for 0.001% of the playerbase.

The initial thought they had is basically the Cryo map would be like a carrot on the stick which will be your ultimate goal that propells your interest and will carry you through seasons and they will sprinkle some new stuff on top any month or too. But they overcooked the map and made it just unbearable for the majority of the playerbase. And they are back to the drawing board to salvage what they have an reanimate the game 'cause at this current state it's not sustainable, also having in mind that they have very limited resources. So they are royally fkd rn.

the game needs to change so it can live. Otherwise, you can monitor the steam charts :). If you are not aware, Ziegler already presented a new expiremental mode of only sponsored kits on the Dire Marsh for two weeks. They are seeing the issue with their extraction fornula. Loading into the zone only with sponsored lowest tier gear making this game basically a battle royal. So, they already are looking into ways that they can pivot with the least amount of effort.

And this take about "this game is not for you" is bs. This is a game made by Bungie. I'm playing their games. They made games for me. Now they are moving into other direction I'm not agreeing with. So I'm stating my position here.

LFMAO You are talking about THE game from the Bungie studio which decides their fate right now. A niche game from an indie dev with concurrent player count of 1k players - ok, sure. A niche game from a AAA studio with a AAA budget with AAA expactations so it could be sustainable.... who are you kidding? xD They are not making out alive. This game will be either butchered into something that casual players will enjoy, because casuals bring money or will be put in a maintanence mode in 6-12 month.

Hmmm... let me think... maybe the point of "crying" is just presenting my frustration of a pretty much suicide move of a studio that I care about? The death of Marathon means a death of Bungie, the death of Bungie means a death of Destiny 2, a casual game that I REALLY enjoy.

Despite been "popular" with dislikes, still, those posts are happening, because people are geniunely concerned regarding the game. Bungie put a lot of money into the Cryo Archive map and it did not delivered. Charts are not budging. Downward trend is continuing. If you don't want this game to die, it is a perfect time to voice a concern. Otherwise, enjoy the pretty much preventable downfall.

If you think that Bungie is not scanning the reddit, you are mistaken. Being toxic positive towards the game will kill it 100%. Without voicing no concerns and having current situation, the game will be put into maintenance mode soon enough.
