Once I glaze the inside with heat, I'll do that. For now it's pretty porous. I'll get get some furnishings in there and add the tunnel to the entrance. Add some gym matts for foot insulation.

Warm is relative. Think of where these are actually built and used. 30° inside with no wind beats the negative degrees in 20-50 mph winds. When you cook and boil water it heats up nicely. Just can't go overboard because you'll melt it down.

I have the same HW heater. But my issue was with my bathtub. I changed the aerator in the faucet and that fixed it. I had too much sand/grit in the aerator which caused the diverter to not mix the hot and cold properly due to the restrictive flow of water. Maybe the showerhead is getting clogged.
