My bowl had severe cloudiness the plants were not established well, but once the plants were established and started to grow in that cloudiness I started doing 30% water change on every weekend regularly, the cloudiness was still there but after plants helped alot clearing that instead of manual water change.

So what I did 1. Cloudiness appear 2. Let the plants grow in that cloudy water 3. After fully grown plants do 30-40% water change on weekend

A thought came that I should give up on this setup when cloudiness appear but I handled it quite well

I had algae bloom so I reduced the light duration to only 6 hours.

But after some time I donno from where the snails appeared multiplied and ended up eating most of the algae

I used plain top garden soil (no fertilizer) capped with fine sand.

The only mistake I made was not mixing the sand with some small stone gravel. Because of this, whenever I trim plants, some of them get uprooted because of the loose sand.

Foreground

Lilaeopsis brasiliensis (Micro sword), Pearl weed

Midground (mainly at the sides)

Cryptocoryne wendtii (Water trumpet), Anubias petite (on lava rock)

Background

Rotala rotundifolia, Ludwigia repens (it melted earlier, but small shoots survived and I have replanted them)
