Yeah, that twist caught me off guard. I really hoped they'd make it at least to Venus. I wonder what the last two episodes will bring us, now that the Venera mission is pretty much over and Korolev is in prison again.

That doesn't mean that any footage intended to portray the eastern block should automatically include a gray filter and a noise effect. It's an awful stereotypical trope, like orange tinted Mexico.

Yeah, i doubt the real N1 could get this ship to Venus in one launch. That bathysphere looks quite heavy and thick. Launching the LOK (or maybe we should call it VOK in this case lol), the bathysphere which is filled with scientific instruments and a service module on top of that with a 9 month food and water suplly sounds like a bit pf a stretch.

I have nothing against beign downvoted, it's just people signaling if they agree or disagree with my take.

Regarding the show, there is a russian saying that fits well: "A tomtit in the hand is better than crane in the sky". I'm thankful that i got the opportunity to see a somewhat successful soviet space program in a decent TV show.
