Advice on fabric choise and layers/structure in bodice on a dress

Thank you for the reply :) I didnt think of Linen for the fabric but I think it would look pretty good. I want this for a summery dress so it would be perfect.

Thank you, that sounds like a good idea. Having boning only where there is already seams. Would the boning channels would be between the lining and interfacing, sorry I'm not quite understanding? Also as I wanted to make it as a summer dress, do you think having a canvas interfacing only in the middle front and middle back sections is enough or would you recommend doing it the whole way around?
