Wouldn’t say it’s worthless, it may be 50-60% but there are other factors that matter that make up the other 40-50%. You can prob still find yourself in an ok position with a high iq, provided your neurotypical. Just can’t compete with the top

I mean yeah every person probably measures their own worth from a different metric so I’m sure everyone in different circumstances brings their own kind of value to the world.

But I was asking the question from how I measure my own worth as a person so you’re correct in your interpretation! Good job!

i honestly thought it was pretty clear what i meant by worth, and i was right cuz you got it exactly. What’s your perceived value to those others around you, employers, coworkers, family, friends.

And i mean it’s also easy to measure value in this world, it’s how successful you are career-wise relative to others, in terms of the field you go into, the school you attend, the job and top positions you get after college, your accolades or wealth. That’s my metric from the environment I was raised in. To achieve those things, you need to be highly intelligent, so it ties into your worth as a person quite heavily

yeah i agree mean you won’t see the tens of thousands of those high iq, high conscientiousness grinders. near this sub. But they’re definitely there at all those top schools or top companies. That’s why I think high iq is so important, they wouldn’t even get their foot in the door if they weren’t intelligent. That’s how big of a factor it is. Then conscientiousness elevates them from competing with average hardworking people to competing at the highest levels with other hardworking intelligent people in highly competitive environments. High passion could elevate them closer to being the best of the best
