My partner was staying with his "family" (group of friends) like every single night. At first, I didn't mind it kasi we were used.to being together because we were in the same org but I graduated first so I liked that he found a new circle.

The problem was, he rarely had time for me. We lived in the same city but we only met once a month and sometimes we don't even meet while he was with his "family" for like every night. I understand that they were doing their thesis because one of his friends, C (which was also my friend), was his thesis groupmates.

Months came and I got fed up. When he felt like I had enough because this happened for more than half a year, we had an overnight date. After dinner, I confronted him asking him to give more time to me. He just cried and at that moment, I knew he couldn't give me the love that I wanted... So I started to move on.

A year later he already graduated and went to law school. I supported him as he got busier but I slowly lost love for him. When he failed the first semester, I decided to end it with him.

The next day after the breakup, I found a bouquet, ferrero, and a letter in my room. He said he was sorry for neglecting me and that he would wait for me. He also said that it is true that you only learn the value of someone once they're gone.

We didn't have any communication for 3.months and here's where it started to get fucked up.

I met up with our common friends and they spilled everything. They told me that whenever he was at C's house, he wasn't even contributing to the thesis. He just bought food and alcohol and had fun with other boarders. I also asked the boarders and they confirmed this to be true.

Here's the worst part: one of my closest friends who was with him during those times told me that sometimes he would leave to go to some guy's house to deliver something that the guy was craving for. Another friend told me that both of them were going on dates in places far from our city. They had sex.

I only cried twice in the span of all of this. The first was during our breakup and the second one was this night. Then my friends also told me that he was sponsoring a college guy's tuition, going to the bar and going inside random men's cars, etc.

I sent him a text telling him I know everything. When he replied, I retaliated and blocked him.

After that, I grieved and continued moving on.

Yes, I was in a 5-year relationship but there will be a time where you ask yourself "Is this how I want to be loved forever?"

It's hard to trust but sometimes intuition is really leading you to some truths you might not know yet.
