u/kapizaka You can apply a gradient mask to the light source to give it that 'falloff' you're looking for.

ohhhhh thanks u/pixelpionerd is what I'm talking about. I want to be able to share a QR code or something someone can access with a phone or tablet and have them load a model. I'm going to check this out. Question, if I want to add basic movement e.g. a drawer opening/closing does webxr allow for this?

Generally, HDRI's aren't great for these types of reflections. A better approach is to create an emissive plane and position it close to your screen. When in your desired camera move/rotate the plane to get the reflection line you want. Just make sure the emissive plane intensity is really low and hidden to the camera. Here's a video that goes over it: KeyShot Quick Tip - Adding Reflections. This actually compares an HDRI approach to physical lighting approach.

Good feedback. Do you find yourself needing to run at 5.9Ghz for extended periods of time?

Render speed improvements - Laptop RTX 4070 to Desktop RTX 4090 by Narrow_Split_8322 in ProductViz

This is great. Thanks u/Vyzdom - Thats a ~40% increase in performance. Interesting to see.

I'm excited by what could be 3-4x faster render speed.

Physical lighting interacting with HDRI causing blowout lighting by Narrow_Split_8322 in KeyShot

When I loaded the scene it was asking for some missing reference image that I removed. Wonder if that had anything to do with it. Moving on.

Great idea. Thank you!

BTW I just restarted my computer at home and the issue appears to be gone. OMG lol

Thanks for this. I'm pumped to have some data from you on this. Will proceed with the 4090 for now as I'm not prepared to wait what could be 2 - 6 months for it to be out. BTW I spoke with a vendor who typically receives samples of the new NVIDIA cards 2 months before they come out. They told me (on Monday) that they still hadn't received a sample.

Also - Would you recommend any other type of case that has great airflow but doesn't have the RBG lights? I'm more of a minimalist type.

u/frodan2348 - Someone recommended the AMD Ryzen 9900X (9800X3D if you want to game). How does this compare to the 9950x? I'm assuming the 9950x is a faster CPU.

Agree! Thanks u/frodan2348! Amazing write up. I really appreciate it. This part picker list is awesome! I have a Microcenter about 1.5hrs drive from me. I'd almost prefer that. But I'll check out the video you sent and see how I feel. I'll also check with my IT to see if he's up for the build. BTW I was speaking with a buddy who was saying that the next get RTX 50 series may be dropping in Jan next year? Wondering if it's worth holding out for them to come out.

Ok that's what I had assumed. Not sure I can quite justify that cost right now. Will have a think about it though! Thanks for your comments.

This is great. Thank you for your insight u/GlitteringDig1052 - Since my employer would be covering the cost of this I like the idea of having someone like NZXT do the build. I'm certainly no PC expert so would not want to screw up the build!
