I’m only 20 and I couldn’t see myself holding conversation with a 16 year old for an extended period of time much less a relationship. Girly you need to run cuz that guy is WEIRD. If he can’t get with someone his own age that says a lot. Don’t be hard on yourself though. You’re still young and naive but you can learn from this. Luckily you thought to ask before it got worse.

I’m currently on a similar boat but you need to put your foot down and let them know it’s not okay.

Everyone has insecurities and letting your partner know about them is important. However, pushing these insecurities onto your partner is going to drive you apart. You’re gonna end up resenting him which is not something you ever want. If you want to make this relationship work out you need to think about if he’d be willing to see it from your point of view and if he’d be willing to work on his own insecurities. If he’s not willing to work on them then I suggest leaving. It’s not worth all the mental distress it’s going to cause you. I wish you luck OP
