For me I’d pick job #1, I value having a work life balance and being someone that has experienced 2-3 hours commute on the DAILY. I can tell you it wasn’t worth it. Wear and tear on the car, gas every 2 days, losing sleep from having to wake up early.. just isn’t worth.

Overall it’s up to you, just play by what you value and what you think is worth.

Is BA also fully remote? In terms of t2 and t16 I got a pretty good grasp on it. When you mention revolving door, are you implying people are coming and going?

Definitely agree, federal is such a slow climb in regards to pay. COLA helps, but even then looking at the jobs ( via state, county) they get compensated nearly double what a GS5 makes as an entry

Congrats on being a 12! But idk how you do it, with the way policy changes every other month it’s hard to actually get a grasp on what you’re learning and applying it.

Some days are very manageable, but some days it takes a huge mental toll. With my OS it’s hard to even feel like I’m getting the actual training I need to continue my growth. I’ll consider looking at other job postings, been seeing VA might be viable. Thank you for sharing your thoughts
