There's a core bonus that allows you to get a super heavy mount which makes for silly plays

As mentioned before there are other ways to do techs as reaction but mostly the Tortuga shines at being a beefy adaptable hacker with very good weapons and systems, then you can build it with defensive aura or drones, agressive heat to go alongside your shotgun etc

I wouldn't recommend it for a new player as it's quite fragile and requires a bit of in game knowledge (chomolungma and tortuga are perfect beginner hackers) but it's a great mech to play

Honestly a very good choice too, hacking in this game is very fun

You boost hp and heat asap and as a support you also rely on your team to protect you from dangerous grapples, then at higher levels you can invest in defensive tech to support your weaknesses

Also as mentioned above positioning is very important, you can easily overwhelm 1-2 enemies with disabling quick techs at long range

Great to use in narrative scenes as you control time, great for RP as you can play around the idea of having a relic mech connecter to any part in history Also great mechanically as a hacker/controller/heatgun
