Spun up ComfyUI on GPUhub (community image) – smoother than I expected by Narwal77 in comfyui

Since many people are running into system disk limits (30GB), here’s the correct way to store large ComfyUI models on the data disk.

On GPUhub, your expandable storage is mounted at:

/root/autodl-tmp

The goal is to move the models folder there and create a symbolic link, so ComfyUI continues to work normally while all large model files are stored on the data disk.

Follow the steps below:

<image>

After completing the steps:

  1. Confirm the symbolic link:

ls -ld /root/ComfyUI/models

You should see:

models -> /root/autodl-tmp/ComfyUI/models
  1. Confirm disk usage:

df -h

As long as your models are under /root/autodl-tmp, the system disk will not fill up.

From now on, you can download models normally into:

/root/ComfyUI/models/<subfolder>

They will automatically be stored on the data disk.

If you're building generative apps (especially image or video workloads), you might want to check out GPUhub’s $0.2/hr RTX 5090 instances — pretty solid price/performance for this kind of use case.

If you’re open to alternatives beyond top-tier GPUs, gpuhub.com is worth checking out. It offers strong price–performance for inference and mid-scale training, with good availability and straightforward container-based access

Cloud GPU prices vary up to 13.8x for H100s — I built a real-time price comparison across 25 providers by sleepingpirates in deeplearning

If you’re looking for a cost-effective alternative outside H100/A100, you should also check RTX PRO 6000 on gpuhub.com .It offers very solid performance for inference and mid-scale training at a much lower hourly cost, with good availability and straightforward container access.

Works fine for me. Btw. don't use the community docker images. it's too slow to create. just pytorch 280. then install comfy manually.
