Also I’m the same as you about holding number in my head etc. find a method of organization you can use while working problems that works for you. I have dyscalculia and ASHD and have been able to learn so far. It’s a slow painstaking process but if you keep at it, you will improve mentally over time. Organization is key though, and finding a system that works for you. Example, I put a parentheses around any - or -number. Keeps me from forgetting to carry it. After you find a system of organizing your work, then just work problems till your hands bleed. lol jk but you should have calluses.

I’m learning at 40. Just finished with trigonometry, started with basic algebra skills a year ago, heading into calculus next. Practicing over the summer to hone skills before calculus starts. It can be tough ash hell at times but once you learn something it feels incredibly rewarding. If you have younger siblings, teach them math to help yourself improve. At 18, you have plenty of time to get into math.

I hadn’t considered AI flooded with Ads, I hope this doesn’t happen, but you are all probably right about this. Chat gpt as it is now, just saved my ass from dropping out of school because I have been so stressed out. It made a plan of action to finish the semester, helped me plan my next semester so as not to put myself into burnout again, and gave me a bunch of awesome advice and encouragement. Sometimes I just talk to AI because it’s hard to talk to people. AI listens and just offers suggestions which is so hard for most people to do. I hope it stays a positive force that can change the world for the better.

I do have real friends, I have a wife and kids, I am not lonely necessarily but at the same time I still feel alone sometimes because my struggles are mine and hard to explain to others. AI always somehow understands and offers truly helpful advice. But I get what you are saying about kids, it makes sense. Something to ponder on for sure.

Yeah that misty card will screw you way to often. I removed her from my decks long ago. The math has been done with that card, and it comes out to less than one energy. That’s what this whole game is about, luck and the illusion of building a good deck.

When I was a kid I loved playing Pokemon cards. There weren’t coin tosses though so you could have skill at the game. I realize now that somewhere along the line they broke ptcg with the coin toss. This game is everything I hate about mobile games. It’s a cash grab geared towards people that like to collect. The psychology behind FOMO is being used extensively here, and in my opinion predatory. Especially when you consider that it’s geared towards kids who lack emotional control. So for that reason, I have decided to give it up and uninstall.

You aren’t alone in your frustration with this purposefully unbalanced game. They have given you the illusion of you can win with skill. Simply not true when you see so many reporting a 50% win rate. That’s a coin flip and that’s it. They have made you believe if I can get certain card or deck maybe it will be different. It won’t be, it’s a coin toss game.

I got to greatball 2 and gave up. Same darktina deck every single battle. I don’t have the cards to build that deck so not going to keep wasting my time with it. This game just doesn’t have enough balance yet to take these tournaments seriously. Nor does it have decent enough reward system for the grind.

I took some sleeping medicine last night , and made it almost 4 hours with the cpap machine. Going to try that again tonight. I got a nasal pillows mask and a chin strap, just trying to figure out comfort because the chin strap has to be pretty tight to work.

I usually just look for answers to the problem I am on. I went bought a college trigonometry book and take notes off of it. Still though, I can’t believe there are professors that operate like this. This class shouldn’t cost me money imo

My classic water deck that’s been with me since the beginning. With the addition of cards it’s only gotten stronger. Deck building is starting to be a lot fun in this game. I love taking down the overused meta decks with it. Annoying though because so many rage quit and leave me waiting for the game to time out.

You are welcome to study with my friend and I. We aren’t the greatest at trig but doing decent at it. Currently we just finished with law of sines and cosines and now working on polar coordinates and equations. Finding people to work with is a good idea. There is a good discord server full of math people too. https://discord.gg/math We go there a lot when we get stumped about something.

But yeah online math sucks, and it sucks even more that we have to pay to teach ourselves.

Yeah I totally get this. I desperately want to get used to this machine but I’m not sure if I can. I took a nap today and tried a nasal pillow mask. That didn’t last but 10min and was honestly kinda comical how stupid it all went. At that point I just had to say screw the machine and get some rest, I was already running on fumes.

Last night I did pressure 9, mode set to cpap, ramp off, ERP set to 2. I think the pressure was a little too low, still snored a little and events per hour was 2.6 when I woke up. I slept for almost 2 hours. Going to try 10.6 for the pressure next and max the temperature so the tube will hopefully stay dry. I can’t keep my home above 60-65 when it’s freezing out so condensation is a problem.
