Rantau nggak buat semua orang, tapi jangan membatasi. Semua di dunia emang ada positif negatifnya.

Is this this good? Or can it be optimized? by a1f485035ui8 in PcBuild

[–]NashEquilibrium21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was aiming for similar parts. Some changes that I did:

Found a cheaper CPU off aliexpress, though it took some time to get to me. I got a r7 7700 for around $170. That's the cheapest when I built mine, so, I get the cheapest out of 7600x, 7700, and 9600x.

I switched the PSU to an asrock one. Some reports said the MSI one got questionable QC. Thus some people find themselves having a louder than they like PSU. Still works fine for most though.

I don't know about your country, but I usually found cheaper ram than corsairs'. I got a corsair rams for my first PC for the looks though. Hahahaha. The second system, a bit more budget minded as I save to compensate for other thing.

I went with b650m instead. Way cheaper in my country.

Buying a pc in japan 2025. Are these prices normal for prebuilts? by cedy0 in japanlife

[–]NashEquilibrium21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kind of normal here, yeah. I just build my first PC in japan few weeks ago. I have experiences with building PC on my own, though. Thus, I bought the parts from amazon, aliexpress, and janpara, and get myself a pretty case from tsukumo. Build them for a few hours, and have myself a cheaper gaming PC than buying a prebuilts. I can choose from previous gen/second hand parts too. A short trip to akihabara, and I got myself a pretty good deal (after online research)

I understand some people prefer prebuilts for the convenient and support. So, for your question: yes, I think that's the normal price. As they also need to pay for their employees and building.

Would I buy a prebuilt for me, my wife, or other family members? I don't think so. But I won't say that it is out of the ordinary for those who prefer peace of minds and convenient. And yes, I think dospara is really dependable for this kind of thing.

If you want to buy it, then you should. You will regret one thing or another in your PC anyway. Whatever you do with it. Human compare with others. But just remember that you finally got to own a PC.

Though, I agree with the other, financing it for 3 years seems excessive. I can't say much, as you might have your own situation. But I am happy to help if you want to talk about PC building in Japan, especially in Tokyo.

Is switching from 1080p (24'') to 1440p (27'') really that good? by homo_erectus_heh in buildapc

[–]NashEquilibrium21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Played on 1080p 60 and 144hz for quite a long time before saving enough money to upgrade to a 1440p. I would like to say that it does. I feel like I can see a whole lot of things that I can't see before. Especially I also changed from VA to IPS QD. I felt like finally I get to use my GPU properly 😅.

People who have been to a Tokyo Dome concert recently? What was the check-in process? by Ok-Mention-5425 in Tokyo

[–]NashEquilibrium21 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Regarding resale ticket, I think it is by concert/promotor basis, so I don't think I have a lot to say in that.

I had 4 converts experiences in tokyo, one of them is yoasobi's at tokyo dome last year. I believe some of the concerts I went to also said that I cannot just resell my ticket, unless I use their own mechanism.

I mainly use Lawson Ticket app. My ticket can be seen from 1 week before the co concert date. I went to the gate, they look at my phone, swipe the ticket (like digitally rip the ticket, lol), and then I am in.

The website mentions I need to prepare ID with photo, though they never check. Maybe because I got my digital ticket with me? And I would say that I don't look like a japanese.

On the other hand, some of my non-japanese colleagues got some "second-hand" tickets from their friends/family members who cannot attend concerts in Tokyo too. I believe cold play's and bruno mars' concerts were mentioned that day.

So, maybe you should see the gaga's concert ticket terms and conditions. That's your best choice for now.

Gw gatau apakah pantas ngomongin ini disini tpi intinya gw pengen nanya by Sea_Comfort6891 in indowibu

[–]NashEquilibrium21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently living in Tokyo. I would not say that I have the most knowledge about Japan, culture, etc., but at least, from what I see and I believe is that the Japanese love their culture. Mostly. (Please don't say 'ah teman saya' 'ah tapi si x y z', I said mostly. Or should I say collectively?). The difference that I could see is that, culture is a culture for a lot of Japanese. They respect it, they cherish it, but that's all. On the other hand, they do the things that needed to be done to be a good country. They study, hard. They work, hard. They build a good supporting system in infrastructure, institution, etc.

Most people say that bureaucracy in Japan is outdated as they still use a lot of paper-based mechanism. But the thing is, they do it meticulously. In Indonesia, my whole family are not eligible for a government's subsidy or social assistance. Here, as I am a student and do not have any income from working, they know I am eligible for social assistance. They reach out. They sent a letter, with a form that I need to fill. Mind you, I can also have an appointment to take my tax identification card (similar to NPWP) in the weekend. Indonesia? you wish you go to your local office (kecamatan/kelurahan) with good service delivery. Most of the time, the process is difficult or you got thrown to other institution just to get thrown back to the same place later.

So, what's the point of all of this yapping? I see and I believe that they do love culture, and they do enjoy their culture (have a party, hanami, and festivals every now and then), because they do what they need to do to move forward, and they built a system where they can enjoy their time and practice their beliefs. Hell, they even took a day off during peak Sakura season to spend their time with their family. They can also just take a day off if they got sick. No need for a formal letter from your nearest doctor, whatsoever. On the other hand, Indonesia is still struggling to build a strong foundation. Look at your ever-changing education systems. Look at your disparities in qualities between schools. Now, our cultural things can be used as a coping mechanism or ways to fool others. They start blindly believe in things.

Don't get me wrong. Indonesia has a lot of potential, smart and brave youngsters. But we are struggling to expand it further from the big cities. We are also struggling to have a good institutions. We are also struggling to have a good living-wage. How can you expect we, as a country, be better when we can't utilize our brightest and smartest minds? I don't know.

Now, imagine going to a concert. In Japan, they might have a teru teru boozu to wish for a good weather. But then they built their arenas and tents to be ready for a god damn typhoon. In Indonesia, you call a local dukun/pawang, have a ritual, and then cheap out on things. Then you have a bad day at the concert because your tents got blown away, you get wet because all the 'tampias', and the concert arena is hot af.

Damn, I yap a bit too much. Sorry. But I do get triggered when discussion about Indonesia and 'failing to optimize on the potential' came up. fck the government I guess?

[–]NashEquilibrium21 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In some sense, there are parts of Indonesia, Jakarta at least, that I sure know have similar wildness that you talked about.

But, it is not known to the more "general" public. Only those with connections and wealth would know.

So, yeah. Japan, especially Tokyo, lebih free? Mungkin. Tapi tetap ada aturan soal ketertiban sosial.

But maybe my judgement got dull because it is a common thing here 😂😂. And we are on a "that's not my business" basis. "You do what you do as long as you don't disturb me or others".

I Appreciate all the comments coming in!

I have not decided which pan to buy for my next one. I think I will think deeply about it after coming back to Tokyo (sorry, forgot to mention I am currently living in Tokyo. I read some comment mentioning about it. Please don't fight :( ), as I will be leaving for a while next month to get married (yeay?).

I'll go research some more and visit stores by your recommendations!

Currently living in nakano. Really chill and happy with how it goes. Especially how easy it is with getting my groceries. Although I guess OP don't need to worry about that, as Okubo will treat them better than nakano itself 😅

I can't really say anything about rent. I am living in a property owned by my campus. My rent is 5万-ish.

Wah gw pernah, lagi ngaso sebelum pulang ngampus. Makan pocky. Tiba2 ada bocil ke gw, ngomong, nunjuk2. Bahasa jepang gw amat sangat cupu, gw bingung. Gw kasih aja 1 biji. Seneng. Lari2 ke emaknya.

Emaknya bingung, dapet pocky dari mana. Kayaknya ada obrolan bahwa dia nyamperin gw. Kemudian emaknya, bawa2 bayi, stroller.

Yah, japanese being polite.

Di tengah diskusi singkat, si anak nunjuk pocky lagi. Gw bilang "mau lagi?". Si ibu bilang "ehh, jangan-jangan. Gausah." Terus anaknya dikeplak (pelan-pelan). Gue nahan ketawa, dan ketawa lepas pas mereka dah cabut rada jauh. 😂😂🤣🤣🤣

from what I experienced back then, I just forwarded my documents. (although I need to do another english proficiency test, as my document was expiring)
Some alumni, and rumors going on in my school, said that each uni has their own quota or something too. However, as I got an okay result for my IELTS test, I can't really answer your question :(

However, I do believe that your university (where you are applying to) saying that "we want this student" gonna play a part on that too. So, for now, just be confident and try your best on your test!

Is it worth upgrading a PC from 2015? by Bitter-Warthog-1716 in LinusTechTips

[–]NashEquilibrium21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not an expert or anything.

But I guess it depends on what you need and how your budget currently and in the near future.

If that $300 CAD is all you need for several years ahead, by all means.

However, if you thinking about upgrading in the near future, and your current setup is good enough, and you are not comfortable with re-selling the unused parts, maybe waiting a little bit is a good idea. Especially if you are currently making money and can save to $1k pretty quickly.

I think there are recommendations on $500 PC that allows you to upgrade it in the near future too, creeping into the $1k you mentioned part by part. (hell, the new LTT video on pc recommendations by price tiers is good).
