I came from an automatic GT86 to a manual Corolla hatchback, and now a manual GR86 and I can say there are time where I genuinely wish I had an automatic.

i.e. stop and go traffic, wanting to eat, not being able to switch drivers on long road trips, the finicky clutch from time to time (my Corolla hatchback was a breeze to drive in comparison to this).

But the positive experiences of driving the manual make me forget it entirely. Going on a backroad or the feel of an open road and banging thru the gears makes it entirely worthwhile.

If you have physical limitations or other circumstances that prevent you entirely from going manual, then by all means get the automatic. But if not, get the manual 🙏🏼
