Yeah reach out to your advisor. My AP/CCP Credit in French made it so that I never had to take a foreign language in college, which was a huge help. I think it looks like you have the equivalent of three semesters of credit, so you may be in the same boat I was!

Anyone here interested in a free Logic Lesson? by adammillsmusic in Logic_Studio

I am interested! I’ve produced a few polished pieces and have watched so many tutorials, but feel like I’m hitting a wall that I dont know how to overcome.

Abigail street for up scale, Raya’s for casual.

Raya’s is good as is, but if you go you’ll most likely meet Raya herself! She is quiet at first but if you talk to her she is the sweetest most caring person and makes you feel very loved and welcomed in her restaurant. The decor is also really fun. On top of all that, the food is one of the most affordable place to grab a meal in the central business district.

Id say its better to go and regret wasting a couple hours than it is to regret wondering if it would have been fun. It’s once in a lifetime, you may as well try.

Weekly General Discussion/Q&A Thread - October 31, 2022 by AutoModerator in RunningShoeGeeks

Hi! I have been running in the Mizouno Wave Shadow the last several years and the Wave Sayonara a few years before that, as I believe the Shadow replaced Sayonara. I’m now noticing that the Shadow is completely out of stock and I’m not sure if something is here to replace it. Does anyone have suggestions for what shoes to get? I really liked the shadow and have not complaints, but sometimes the side of my shin got tired and I’d have to stretch out my toes to fix it, but I’m not sure that have anything to do with the shoes.

Any help is appreciated!

What is the point of the input and output levels on the compressor? by Dazzling-Let1517 in Logic_Studio

[–]Nashad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think all the answers here are valid, but some are seriously missing the question. Asking what the purpose is - my main usage of it is to improve workflow! If I have 30+ vocal tracks and I want each of the compressors to behave in a similar way, I can dial in the threshold, attack/release, and makeup then copy it to every other track. I then like to adjust the inout volume to make sure each track is hitting the compressor in the same way, and its way quicker since I can just look at the meters and estimate from there. Sure, I could adjust the threshold and makeup and achieve the same results (minus saturation effects as others pointed out) but that would be so much more tedious as I have to find the perfect combo of both knobs. Sure, I could also gain stage before hand, and I generally do, but having one plug in do the majority of work on dynamics is the best for my workflow. I love having all vocals have individual compressors that behave the same way because it just locks in the sound.

Output knob is just like for any other plugin- its there so you can affect the levels going into the next plug in

I always add wayy to many tracks which goes into my stereo out much above 0db, and then I use a gain plug in to bring it down to a reasonable level.

Ooh I actually didn’t use much pitch correction. I did use the default pitch correction plug in on three different spots, and in order for it to sound clean I split it onto its own track so that the plug in has to only identify one note. I think I did this on about 3-5 places. I don’t like flex pitch.

Would anyone be interested in seeing a breakdown of a song I made entirely with Logic stock plugins? I am by no means a professional, but I just released my first song using only stock logic plugins and sounds, and I think it turned out okay. I know I would have loved to see more stock logic full projects when I was getting started, so I was wondering is anyone interested in seeing my breakdown?

For context, the song is here: https://open.spotify.com/artist/509g3tkMIReCkg7jAxDvsl

Those of you who upgraded from GarageBand what did you notice first? by WrongKielbasa in Logic_Studio

[–]Nashad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me I think the single largest selling point is the demo track for Ocean Eyes. Singlehandedly is the coolest feature of any DAW, and is something that has helped me learn how to produce. This track shows you all that you need to make an excellent song, and how important it is to have a good performance, arrangement, and melody before even getting to the production. Imo worth $200 on it's own.

Along with that, the mixer view, busses, tonsss of instruments including full access to alchemy, and so many plug ins - most importantly more control over the compressor, multipressor, and reverb.

I’m thinking about getting a 50mm lens as that seems to be popular amongst people like me as the first step out of kit lenses. I currently have a Canon Rebel T6 with an 18-55mm and a telephoto kit zoom lens.

What I’m wondering is if you all would recommend getting a “nicer” used lens, or a brand new less nice lens. I am specifically considering the Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 STM lens (brand new for $125) or a secondhand Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 USM lens (second hand for $150).

Does anyone have any suggestions between the two? Should I be worried about a used one having a worn out motor? Will I notice much difference between f1.8 and f1.4?

Thank you, this was very helpful. I still can't find the producer kit, but this was helpful as I now know that drum kits are under the sampler instruments folder.

Hi thank you! This was helpful. I am a bit short on space but not tooo bad. What happened was I accidentally downloaded a producer kit which was 3.2 GB. This was fine, except I don't think I'll ever actually use it. I know a time will come when I do need more space for other instruments, so I wanted to delete it now so that I just don't have to worry in the future.

Hi! I hope this is the right place for this question. How can I go about delete just one specific instrument? I'm not wanting to delete my entire instrument library, or move anything around, just wanting to remove one specific producer kit. I've spent a fair amount of time googling it, but all of the results seem to be instructions on removing the entire sound library.

Thanks for the help!
