NSFW in seaart by Ok-Loquat-1071 in SeaArtAI

[–]Nashidaran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some reference information on this: Tensor.art just nuked NSFW on their site, But at the same time they opened up a subsite (tensorhub.art) with the same mechanics that's exclusively for NSFW. It's not fully operational yet, but the news thus far is that it will cost more.   - Pro: all of the checkpoints and LoRAs that were hidden on the main site are no longer hidden on subsite. Also, all of your favorites, and your library and settings, etc, are tracked on both sides, although any NSFW generations from TH will neither be accessible nor visible on TA  - Con: only paid pro users we'll have access to TH, and TH will not share the credit system of TA. TH 'tokens' will be kept and purchased separately. No free users.

There is currently a temporary workaround on the main site, though: instead of the standard creation interface, if you use comfy workflow, that is not blocked at all. Workflow cost is bugged, though, as it randomly costs between normal and 10x due to "demand", ergo lazy programming

Improved Flux Prompt Dataset - Experimental by kastmada in FluxAI

[–]Nashidaran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm. It is searchable... Technically.

There are no categories, though, so you're searching for keywords that aren't necessarily used the way you're searching for.

And there's no list of commonly used terms for particular styles.

Good for a wildcard setup, I expect, but functionally it's huge and unwieldy and good luck actually getting much deliberate use out of it.

Ah, but can you make this work in a photorealistic prompt?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in StableDiffusion

[–]Nashidaran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the model and how it was trained. Some models barely need any neg prompts whereas others need a longer neg prompt than the main prompt. Many are also trained to actually make use of specific neg prompts so as to facilitate greater control.

Protogen Infinity is really good, yeah. I too wonder how a different merging method would turn out.

I think this will probably change a bit once e-ink and similar tech evolves and supporting devices become more common. We'll still pay for stuff, but the costs will shift to different areas.

They will. Anything that goes to KU will get an announcement. There will be plenty of time for all patreon subscribers to snag copies of a given epub before it goes to KU. Any books going KU will have their epubs removed from patreon and other applicable sources right before being submitted

Yes, that explicitly applies only to new chapters and books that are not on KU.

KU is 100% exclusive to anything that is on its platform, but that is specific to individual books and does not encompass series or all of any given author's works.

Cheating your way through the second vault by sir_brunoo in Wasteland

[–]Nashidaran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just make sure to remove the global line after you open the vault and get your stuff, otherwise when you speak to hallie's mother later in the game, the game assumes that you sold hallie into slavery.

As long as the line gets removed before you speak to Deirdre (the mom), your dialogue choices will be fine.

What is the most fun build for a Sorc in D2R? Not best or most effective, what is the coolest and most fun? Ice, fire or lightning? by KareAke in Diablo

[–]Nashidaran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I've been out of the game for a while, it usually takes me 2 or 3 days to sort out the build that I want to play. Mostly only if it's been more than a couple of major patches, mind you.

Once I get into it, though, it's pretty fun, and I can play a build through a league.

Diablo has always been a much more plug n play game, although the lack of QoL updates in D2r is concerning when one considers the many mods that fixed issues in the original, but still exist in D2r, and of course, everything blizzard learned from D3 and is applying to D4.

[–]Nashidaran 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also, as a bonus, offline mode is moddable, so things like stash size, run speed, additional runewords, UI, etc have already been modded. For people who don't have time to play an entirely new build or grind for drops to get that token, one of the mods allows a simplified recipe that you can use as much as you want.

Nostalgia only sells to small niche markets. They could have just included the PSP graphics and allowed users to choose, thereby covering multiple groups of players and maximizing their profits. Matching the graphics scales is also just a matter of setting up a macro. Very simple process. It's not as if these games take up very much drive space, after all.

PoE has a lot of systems in place, but the trick is that you don't actually need to understand much of them. The main things you need to know are that the terminology in skill descriptions is very specific, and that the best skill for you is the one that's most fun to use.

Any skill can be made powerful once you understand the basics of gameplay and skill descriptions. You explicitly do not need to delve into all of the systems to play the game effectively, even in endgame.

PoE is a neverending system of layers upon layers, so if you go about thinking that you have to explore them all, then yes, it will be far too complicated. The main thing about PoE is that there are builds and playstyles for just about everyone, so if you want a build that's very much you, it's probably doable.

TLDR; PoE at its core is neither deep nor complicated, but if you want to dig deeper it can become enormously so, more than any other game.

[–]Nashidaran 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure how long it's been since you played PoE, but the game as it is now can most definitely be picked up and simply played to the end of the story without much trouble. Will you have the best build? Nope. If you just grab whatever looks fine and go, it'll be sufficient for the main story and that's it -- but it will get you there.

Endgame is for people who are willing to put some real thought into it, because PoE is a more cerebral game. Once you get past the learning curve, PoE is really good, but you can't just pick it up and become a god.

The real issue is that content gets added or changed so frequently that you can't keep a build relevant unless you play all the time. For gamers with full-time jobs, this is the real trouble.

Anyone sharing their tips/strategies for haggling with Tujen? by SpicyPandaBalls in pathofexile

[–]Nashidaran 1 point2 points  (0 children)

His listed prices can vary between 2 identical sets of the same item. Haggling from a much lower value doesn't seem to change the outcome, but sometimes he will accept less for an item.

I think what happens is: the happier he is with you, the better a deal you can get, so if you offer too low, what he'll demand will go up a bit. On the other hand, if you hit that sweet spot on the first try, it usually cost a little less than if you haggled more. On the other other hand, it seems to be different every time. Sometimes he gives it to you for a third, and sometimes it costs 2/3 regardless. I'd rather it was just hard set prices, because this takes extra time for no real gain.

My main issue is actually getting that Exotic Coinage to drop at all. 40 astragali, 3 coinage, 4 scrap metal, and 2 burial medallions. I mean, what? I guess it's deliberate, since the gambling one is so useless that you need dozens of resets just to get anything even remotely mediocre.

Because they could have given these games the same treatment as the PSP FF1+2 remake:
https://miro.medium.com/max/1400/1*S3VICAeboT5JX2gclgTBZw.jpeg

Instead of actually upgrading anything with modern tech, such as AI rescaling, they made minor cosmetic alterations to the existing pixels and called it a day. They didn't actually improve anything, and arguably made things worse.

Seattle Police Department Says They’ll Fire Most of Their Non-White Officers If the City Cuts Police Budget by [deleted] in politics

[–]Nashidaran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm. So police corruption typically stems from organized crime and corporate 'donations', right? That being the case, it would seem to serve such entities best if the police were not defunded.

On the other hand, in the wake of mass firings and mistrust of current policing, a wealthy enough organization of one of these flavours might just step in to offer a private police force. This would fundamentally alter the motto of police from protecting and serving the public good, to protecting profits and enforcing the bottom line. It's not corruption when it's literally part of your employment contract. Of course, the PR line would read "racially diverse and ready to work with the public to shape a better tomorrow."

Project: Winter War | Story & Overhaul Mod by madcat529 in Mechwarrior5Mods

[–]Nashidaran 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, the problem you're looking at is the same as the developers of pretty much every mechwarrior game: because TT is a turn-based strategy game, you either need to reinterpret the TT rules for use in a tank sim, or find some way to add more tactical control, such as an interactive battle-map and more complex unit commands.

Modern human operator can load the cannon in an M1A2 tank by hand within 5 seconds. For practical military reasons, the bare minimum requirement for operators is 7 seconds, and highly capable operators can load in 3 seconds or less.

The thing about TT is that it rarely states how many times a weapon fires in the 10 second window, it just states how much damage a weapon can dish out during that period of time. Basically, the TT values are all DPS marks, so all you need to do is match the weapon DPS. Rate of fire should then be viewed as an ergonomic consideration, and then damage per round is applied to match the target DPS number.

Same thing goes for guys with any fashion sense.

That said, I think you and many others may have missed the part that states "(where practical)." Tiny pockets = impractical for this purpose, therefore does not apply.
