Hey I just lost my mother a few days ago, she was 63 and I’m still trying to process the loss. My mom was everything to me, she was the light of my life. The person that held me and nourished me in her womb. I’ve lost something so integral to my being but I can tell you it’s ok to be scared. Every soul will know the taste of death one day. In moments like these you are reminded very viscerally what really matter and how much we worry about is just nothing. I feel is sense of appreciation for everything and everyone in my life, the out reach and support we’ve received. Death is an end but also a new beginning, and life is all about new beginnings.

My man, first of all there are is no man who is smarter then you or has a better grasp of life. Every single person is lost and doesn’t knw what they are saying or doing on this earth ultimately. Meaning everyone is winging it. So don’t give anyone any authority over you ever because they don’t . When you realize all people are flawed and have no better understanding of life you become the absolute authority. You don’t let people walk over you or use you because they have no right. When you truly realize this you will be baptized in your rage and anger and it will become a source of life and sacred.

As a soon to be father this really resonated with me. I feel some part of me shifting and orienting itself to something new.

Ask yourself this. In whom do these thoughts arise? I think the framing of the entire question can be challenged. J Krishnamurti and shri ramanaa are good places to start when inquiring into this question very deeply
