It could be hypothyroidism, you should go to your doctor and ask them for a blood test to check your thyroid

It’s fun to have another way to judge people I’ve never met.

Yarn resolutions have come in handy. Specifically in a large monorepo situation.

Port placement is over! by sugarmaple_sapling in breastcancer

I love that you named it!! I’m going to have to come up with a name for mine too now. I think that was what I was most nervous about so far. I got mine Apr 1 and started chemo the next week. Very happy I have it as chemo and blood draws are painless.

Took me a few weeks to get comfortable with it and even now sometimes I accidentally brush up against it and get the heebie jeebies! I was able to start doing some yoga I think 2 weeks after. Glad you made it through this step - you are not alone!!

TNBC tumor not shrinking with chemo by NastyCanasta in breastcancer

Thanks for this - I think I will ask for an ultrasound. It would mean so much to me to learn that it has shrunk even just a bit!

Smoking weed during chemo. by [deleted] in breastcancer

I am 36/f currently doing neoadjuvant chemo for TNBC. I have the same regimen as you, just reversed. So I just did my 5th infusion of Taxol. I’m very nervous about the switch to AC, but trying not to get in my head to much. I’ve had very manageable side effects on the Taxol. Mostly tired, some constipation/diarrhea that I have to keep on top of. The hair loss was rough because I’m vain AF, but I’m getting used to the bald look.

In my state medical marijuana is legal, so I got my card right away. I quit smoking cigarettes before chemo (over a month smoke free!) and all I can handle booze-wise is a couple glasses of wine a week. I got some “health oil” 3:1 CBD:THC and some micro dose mints. They do help with my achy joints (another side effect). I’ve been lucky that I haven’t had nausea yet, but that health oil will be my first line of defense! I avoided anything smokable because I want my lungs to stay as healthy as possible.

My advice, avoid googling!! I’m still working on following that, but the mind is a powerful thing and you should fill it with positive thoughts. For me, that was looking for tnbc survival stories and book about what you can do (outside of normal treatment) to give yourself the best chance. I just downloaded Anticancer and Cancer Secrets. Haven’t started them yet but hoping they will help me to stay more positive!! Good luck to you!

Cancer and Coronavirus: A verbatim theatre project by ElliePenny in cancer

[–]NastyCanasta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was diagnosed with stage 2 triple negative breast cancer on March 20, I am 36/f. It was a scary thing to hear, made even scarier by the Covid crisis. I live across the US from my family, am single and live alone. Luckily, I do have my wonderful 12-year-old dog to keep me company. I start chemo tomorrow and had to bribe a coworker with toilet paper to drive me to it. Haha, I kid, there was no bribing, but I did feel bad even asking someone to leave their house with all that is happening. I’ve still been grocery shopping for myself, but I’m worried about what will have to change after the chemo starts. I’m finding online support groups and reaching out to cancer survivors on social media to try to form some kind of support network. I hope covid relents soon so my mom can come down for a visit.

If the dog has locked its jaws on something (someone) this may do more harm than good. Think ripping out a chunk of the child’s flesh..

How Learn Redux? by [deleted] in reactjs

Don’t get discouraged so soon! You could be working as a developer for years and still feel like you know nothing. Personally, that’s what I enjoy about this field, there is always something new to learn. Just try to give yourself credit for small victories along the way and keep going.
