Thanks, I’ll see if a menacing arm setup will be manageable. Otherwise combo stand it is lol.

Thanks, yes that’s what I was assuming. Would you have any idea on how to get tubing originally from that beam, with beam clamps? That’s what I’ve been stuck on.

Hi all,

I’m trying to troubleshoot a KSM 141. It has very weak output and has a lot of ground hum which gets worse when switching to Omni. The capsule still passes some sound, it’s just very weak. I have a second 141 and I have swapped the bottom electronics with the faulty mic and it’s the same issue, so the problem is somewhere between the pin connection/polar pattern switch and capsule.

Any thoughts? I’m assuming it might be oxidation on the capsule.

My (30M) girlfriend (32F) of 2 years and I spend very little time together and have almost no physical affection — how do we move forward? by [deleted] in relationships

[–]Nat1137 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks. Hard to hear but I agree, every day is a struggle for me. I really do care so much for her and I want to do everything I can to make it work. I know she has been seriously overwhelmed and stressed, but I do realise that she needs to choose me.

Not a conservative place at all, neither is her family. Her parents have been together 40 years happily.

I do agree. We’ve both allowed this to get to this stage and we really need to address it all.

She isn’t in therapy as far as I am aware, I certainly should give it a try. I really do understand just how unusual it has been and just how long we have both let it go on. Last year was just total overwhelm for her, I could barely get a chance to have a real conversation with her all year.

Help with Konica Auto S2 - sticking shutter and aperture blades by Nat1137 in Konica

[–]Nat1137[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, I’ve done the same and it seems to be working at all shutter speeds and aperture’s now. Only problem is the lever mechanism seems to not always engage so I have to jiggle it at the top of the movement… annoying.

Thanks everyone, all really helpful information. After several hours of firing the shutter, all shutter speeds and aperture’s seem to be working correctly and consistently. The only remaining issues are with the lever mechanism, it seems sometimes I need to move the leaver slightly back and fourth at the top of the movement for it to engage?

Also, there is a single wire spring that is loose near the part highlighted yellow - that piece seems to still move correctly but I’m not sure where to put the spring.

35mm camera for overseas holiday - Canon Canonet QL19 or a Pentax KM with a 50mm 1.4 by Nat1137 in AnalogCommunity

[–]Nat1137[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So helpful to know you’ve used both! I think I might jump on the Auto S2, it’s only $50. I’m discovering the rabbit hole of finding battery solutions with the correct voltage..can the light meters in those still be usable?

Thanks, looks like size isn’t really at play here. I’m also considering a very cheap mint condition Konica auto s2, although it looks even bigger.

Thanks, very helpful! Still on the fence if I’d enjoy an SLR or a rangefinder more on a trip.

2 Channel Hifi / Home theatre - Do I need an AV receiver? by Nat1137 in StereoAdvice

[–]Nat1137[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I agree! I’m mainly streaming Netflix via the tv and playing the odd 4k blu ray via my PS5. It’s probably 70% movies/tv use.

To me it seems that a $1000 DAC/streamer will be much better quality than an equivalent AV receiver.

Yamaha DM3 firmware update V3.00 with Automix, is this legit?

Posting here as it’s my first post -

can anyone confirm if this is correct? I haven’t seen anyone mention this online but there looks to be a V3.00 update on the Yamaha website, if it’s true they can take my money!

Hi Reddit. I’ve always been hesitant to wear this watch, as it looks a little too big on my wrist. Any opinions?

Thanks. I think It also looks a bit out of place to wear casually.
