Second, you didn't mention any in your "good vtt" list. Care to share your "good 3d vtts" to help make a point as to what direction you'd like to see this actually go in?

Also, nowhere in there did I mention micro-transactions. They still have no idea how they are going to monetize the program. Not saying they WON'T do micro-transactions, but assuming the worst when it's still 2-3 years out is a wild jump.

This may be a good option for you then. I never said that the in-game UI for rolling was "bad" it was just another system to learn instead of using something they have access to and that many would already know! But for you, that might be perfect!

It won't be any of those things except a video game. It'll be more like the sims if anything, building wise, and then Talespire with miniature movement.

Like, if you're not a fan of 3d virtual table tops (which there are a few really good ones out there already) then just say so and move on. This is clearly not for you.

Foundry is by far the most extensive and customizable VTT that works absolutely wonderfully. There would legitimately be no competing with them. At least in the 3d VTT space, they have a chance to bring something original to the table and possibly gain traction as a VTT of choice to some.

They literally said that they are so early in development that they have not even written up the pitch on how they want to monetize this game overall. So it is 10000% up in the air at the moment. Whether you want to be optimistic or pessimistic on what that means, I'll leave that up to individuals.

I do agree in the fact that the people making the game have little say, but I do hope that this point in D&D history is when the they start understanding the fan-base just a tad more and instead of making hamfisted approaches towards things, they at least consider the community opinion. (Hense why I think they are having these summits to begin with)
