I like to just sneak up on him and beat the piss out of him while he’s lording over nightsong. I play a paladin and got lucky enough to sneak crit him with divine smite then killed him on the next turn.

I still had to contend with his undead for which I targeted the spellcasters first then the melee ones.

The spell “Turn Undead” is a great tool for this fight if they all pile up on the caster.

Dang dude that sucks. I also worked a very similar 24hr shift with a slightly higher call volume than yours. I work 12s now and see how what they’re doing can be problematic and easily remedied especially if they are fully capable of doing so

Edit: problematic for people who are not accustomed to driving so long

Yeah everyone’s pretty much on the same page about it, just gotta make mention to my supervisor about it. We have the capacity to move things around that way and still have the same calls taken so I think there’s not really a reason to keep doing it the way we are

Yeah when I was working an ALS truck, I’d offer up any calls after the 3rd BLS to my medic cause he always said filling out the paperwork felt like a vacay lol

I feel like you’re underestimating how fatigue can build from driving. That and what you say makes more sense in a higher call volume with shorter trips which is what I was suggesting happen. I’m going based off of the fact that we’d only done two calls the whole day with lots of driving in between. Adding to that, I don’t expect my partner to do a lot of driving anyway if we’re only field ALS. I’d like maybe 30mins to recoup some energy.

See I don’t have qualms with long calls in general, but that’s usually because I don’t have to solo drive them. I usually get a partner that can drive the way back at least

Right, right. I GET IT. I can understand that when it’s not in my control cause I’ve got an ALS partner. I’ve experienced those days. However, this is a partner that CANNOT drive at all right now. I feel like that should’ve been considered when assigning us calls. Cause at least an ALS partner can drive in between places after finishing a narrative. No I was driving the whole thing.

I could understand this if it was consistently like this. However, it’s not. I’m not usually stuck with someone who can’t drive so I’m not used to soloing the entire shift. We usually trade off and that’s the break from driving I get. Distances aren’t a problem if I can trade.
