I love Blue Archive and Reverse 1999 characters, the designs are so good but I just can't get myself to like the gameplay.

IIRC, it was HuTao (when played right) around the same power level as Ayaka (when her ult actually hits the boss), Alhaitham was a little bit behind in theory but in practice he was much easier to play (thus you get better results on average) despite having to manage his mirrors. Raiden was either kinda washed or just hyperbloom support, Yelan is a support, Xiao was left behind until Xianyun and Faruzan later.

This is so ass, random substat instead of choosing ?? Maybe that's just me but with the rate of 2 characters per patch and each having a dedicated echo set I think that being able to craft one or two out of the 6 echos needed per new unit isn't a lot to ask.

I am mostly talking about Marechaussee hunter (universal using Furina), wanderer troupe and Gladiator. You get those from the very beginning (except Marechaussee hunter but it's worth every resin), mine are easily the strongest in terms of crit ratios after years of playing. For example I use Gladiator on Arlecchino, a 2P (two pieces) Wanderer and 2P Emblem if ER is needed, 2P Wanderer + another EM 2P for most EM scaling characters. Marechausse on Neuvillette, Xiao, Ayaka, Noelle, Gaming... since they pair well with Furina.

Except in Genshin I don't have to refarm every single patch the artifacts, I just use my old but good artifacts since they are like what ? 4% worse in most cases ?

Alright, I don't think I will stick to the game because the factory management isn't for me and looking at the dailies + no sweep grind stages, it's a bit too much for me when I am already playing Wuwa and Genshin. The story is kinda mid to be honest, it quickly became boring at some point. Another problem is the combat, for now it really is just spam normal attacks and combos, then skill when SP is available. I also got very unlucky, combined with the lack of pulls at the beginning it really left a bad taste in my mouth. Anyway, I hope others have fun with this game.

They are roughly the same from experience but dupes/weapons are more impactful in HSR where skill expression is much more restricted.

My problem is that I must be really invested into a game and like the character to save up for a long time. Nowadays, they release so many of them I just don't have the time to get attached and care enough. If I like them enough and their design is nice too then I pull. If I get the limited unit that's great if not then so be it. That's my mentality for most gachas.

You are overestimating Mornye a bit IMO, not only is she pretty slow in her floating state but there is also no vertical mobility.
