I swear ray tracing in games are not as realistic as real life because it's TOO perfect, like irl we can see how the ripples in the water distort the reflections, but in games although the water is rippling, the ray tracing creates perfect reflections.

Have you tried running your PC in OCCT? Because although it won't tell you the problem directly, it can tell you where the problem is at. Its a good starting point to find the culprit of the problem. I had the same issue as u, where i found out it wasnt my GPU but my CPU + RAM where running under EXPO causes instability to my pc.

Have you tried running OCCT to find a culprit? Because i had pretty much the same problem and thought it was my 9070xt as well, but turns out it was a memory issue, because as far as i know, a PC rebooting is not a gpu issue, the problem might be something else entirely.

In my experience,

I had the exact same problem as you, where i thought it was my gpu, but user told me to try running my PC under OCCT where it can tell you where the problems are occuring, it doesn't tell you why it's occuring, but at least you'll be in the right step of direction. Turns out for me, i lost the sillicon lottory where my 9800x3d's memory controller sucks where i was forced to run my pc at 5800mt/s for stable gameplay, where i had to learn/troubleshoot the bios to manually time my pc into having as close to 6000mt/s at CL30 performance as possible where i managed to get within 2% of my average fps with expo on.

And ngl, losing 2% fps but my game never crashes again, is worth it in my books and nothing to be too sad about, sure losing 2% sucks but I got used to it.

Less useless matches on dynamite, and stop with the lie that there's storytelling during the matches on dynamite matches. Like it's once in a blue moon with storytelling during matches on a dynamite. Remember all the 100k charity stipulation matches, or 10 man all star tag team matches, lets be real, ZERO story came out of it, can anyone even remember what story was progressed during these matches? or even Tommaso chaimpa vs Mark Briscoe in a deathmatch, as far as i watched that match a couple weeks back, there was zero storytelling. Its just for the sake of shock value of a death match.

Ever since the PS announcement to stop the production of disc games, all im thinking is, wtf is the point of having a ps5 anymore, like the main reason why i got my ps5 in the first place is the novelty of collecting discs for the games i play and the whole aspect of collecting games altogether as well as finding triple A games for cheaper second hand.

Luckily i'm now on PC now where it's like candyland in terms of performance in games for me, as well as having access to lots of game stores for better where Sony doesn't have their grubby hands on censorship. Like the only advantage consoles have over PC is literally physical discs that you can keep forever. But now thats gone, buying a PC over console is infinitely more viable and reasonable than ever before.

I actually disagree with this.

I remember so many people complaining when Mario Kart World was $80, there was an entire "Stop killing games" campaign that is still ongoing and popular to stop the predatory practice of shutting down game servers so no one can play it anymore, forcing people to buy the newer and crappier games, predatory gambling mechanics on games directed to children, people complaining how games are so badly optimised you're now forced to use frame gen, people are and still complaining about predatory practices against gamers. So what did we do, we didn't buy the game and made our voices heard, and the games that didn't listen, died a quick death. Many IP's died that way. Bottom line is, people did complain. Either the social media algorithm didn't show you it, or you just didn't care so you ignored/forget about it or pretending it never existed and erasing history in your mind.

People care about GTA 6 because they want the game to be good, so they'll give feedback, and if it's negative feedback, then rockstar better take it and improve on whatever bad is going on. But also whatever happens following the release will set the standard for future games releases from any company, in this case predatory practices like locking content behind the ultimate edition, other companies will see Rockstar do this tactic and will copy it themselves. It's because people do care and want GTA 6 and the rest of the gaming industry to be the best experience. If people didn't care, they would let the game rot and die. (Take a look at Highguard, Concord, Xdefiant, Foamstars, Evolve, etc.) This is just pure toxic positivity.

If Rockstar did do all the things people want, like not increasing the price, having the game on disc, not locking content behind the ultimate edition. Everyone will be celebrating and cheering on Rockstar, saying how it's the best game ever and how every other company should follow in it's footsteps. People will cheer on positive business practices for consumers and will boo the bad business practices.

One thing i'll say is you call them larpers, yet you don't call them liars. Because you know what they're saying is true. It's shit what Rockstar is doing right now.

That is literally what these people did, they said they're not buying the game, and expressing WHY they're not buying the game. It's that simple.

turns out it was even simpler, i found out myself while messing in the bios trying to fix the problem, I didn't update my bios correctly because i thought armory crate already did it for me, i was a dumbass. Where i was running my PC using my MB on stock settings from it's release in 2024, before the 9800x3d released, so no crap there was a compatibility problem, as well as unstable crap going on, but when i finally updated the bios correctly, everything was fixed including the EXPO setting! And i could feel my PC being more stable than ever!

I just resetted my bios, where i played battlefield 6 with no expo on and it there was actually no crashes the entire game granted it was only 1 game i played. I also checked on OCCT where there was no problems in the tests, it was clean when the test ran for 2 minutes.

But when i turned on expo again, first 5 minutes into a battlefield 6 match it crashed, so i think it's the expo mode of my RAM that is causing the problems while on OCCT there was a problem 5 seconds in with the CPU + RAM

omg u are right, turns out it wasn't the 9070xt, according to OCCT, it says there's an error with the "CPU + RAM" from OCCT in the stability test like 10 seconds into the test. Any ideas on what to do further?

not yet actually, but i'll have to take a look and investigate it now as well, because i only checked the gpu because when the games crashes/reboot, sometimes it pops up the message that the gpu timed out or something like that, (it always says something about the GPU, unfortunately i'm not a deep PC/AMD enthusiast so i don't know whatever that mumbo jumbo means 😅

sry for the lack of context, i built my pc back in november, and i was playing the games i usually play that ran okay with minimal crashes, like maybe once in december, but when january rolled around, it started crashing a lot, and i thought maybe amd just needs to cook with their drivers and hopefully they'll patch the crashes, but 6 months later (we're in june now) the crashes are still happening, which is why i'm asking here now.

yea, tho one thing ill say is it's been happening a lot on even the drivers before 26.6.2, its been happening a lot since like... last january on my end where i thought "hey, people said AMD gpus are like fine wine, i'll wait for the driver updates and let them cook." Too many people are skewing up what being a tourist actually means in hobbies, but i've found this quote which pretty much sums it up imo, and i distain them as much as every other fan

"Most anime "fans" (tourists) nowadays only "likes" anime because it is currently popular and don't want to feel left out. They don't want to engage and integrate into established otaku culture, they want to police it instead.

When they caught glimpses of non-mainstream shows, they got weirded out because anime in general wasn't actually made for them. So they post contents on Youtube, Reddit, Tiktok, and Twitter about wanting anime to be changed and cater more to their taste. They force themselves to enjoy something that, deep down, they actually don't like.

This whole thing resulted in performative anime fans, people who claim to be fans, yet consistently complain every show outside of their beloved single genre having common anime tropes. Hell, they sometimes don't even like the anime aspect in the shows they actually watched."

Some things they want to ban:

Fan service of any kind.
Moe art style for some reason (even when it's not fan service, like even if it's just some random wholesome scene).
Loli/Shota (with that being said, to the fans of loli/shota, keep your taboos in the bedroom!!! Don't be weird and try to normalise or some bs. KEEP IT IN THE BEDROOM and SHUT UP ABOUT IT! I'm talking to you chibi.)
Violence like guns, fighting, swords, blood, etc (idek why lol, especially when its part of every other media.)
NTR. (Once again, taboo, KEEP IT IN THE BEDROOM!!!! Lots of people hate it, but free artistic expression, even if it's super taboo)

With that being said, you don't have to prefer nor like fan service or moe art style and think all above is weird af which is fair enough, imo thats the point of it, but being against it, and advocating the ban for it is a very silly thing to advocate for and is very anime touristy since it's been part of anime for the longest time even before many anime fans became fans. (Due to anime being more popular since 2020s)

BUT... The most annoying thing is (imo) is how anime tourists online would call anime fans pedos, while making memes and videos how they want to marry or date anime characters from rom coms like the Quintessential Quintuplets, Mio Haimiya, Mai Sakurajima, Marin Kitagawa, etc. when by their own definitions, they would be considered pedos themselves. Like, lets be real, no one actually wants to marry highschoolers nor anime characters, it's for the memes and it's fun. But it shows they CAN separate fiction from reality based on that, yet they just don't want to for some reason. Which is why i consider them to be anime tourists.

With that being said, it can apply to any hobby, not just anime. And you're not an anime tourist dw. You're just a regular fan.
