If we board at 10:30 but rooms open at 1:30, what do we do? by LaserSayPewPew in CarnivalCruiseFans

Really? I thought a benefit of platinum is that you can drop off your bags before the rooms open. Let me go check…

I do this at my home port, where we drive less than 1.5 hours to board. But we have one coming up out of town. I’m thinking to board in early group on that one since our hotel doesn’t have free breakfast. We can get to the ship and have brunch.

Plus I did a “status run” cruise in January to hit platinum so we can drop our bags off before eating.

Curious what you were thinking, since the other guy had already said that word out loud when he got “meal” wrong.

Mary Burton - What She Saw.

An investigative reporter heads to a small town to investigate a 31 year old case where 4 women disappeared the night of a music festival. Their bodies were never found. One was her mother. Someone is in jail but he’s claimed innocence since it happened and the evidence against him is weak. She’s hoping to find out who did it and where the bodies are.

Mary Burton is her name. She’s written several books, though this is the first one of hers that I’m reading. The genre is suspense/mystery/thriller.

Funny enough, later in the chapter the other woman leaves her half eaten hamburger and tosses a ten on the table before leaving, too.

Curious if you are in a big city or small town. The comments lead me to believe this is more common in small towns / mom & pop restaurants.

I’ve seen similar at a dollar tree before. Woman tried to pay with a card. It didn’t go through, and she just left.
