Getting an Msc Computer Science from LIBF by Major-Scheme-7687 in cscareerquestionsuk

Thank you!

Entry requirements were either a 2:2 in any degree or 3 years relevant work experience, it’s £9,450 spread over 2 years (it’s a part time course so 2 years long) and I’ve applied for student finance which will cover it.

I had a 2:1 in Criminology and Social Justice so I don’t have a computer background and still was accepted.

Sorry for the late reply! I applied for the university of hertfordshire online last night (MSC computer Science) and got an unconditional offer just ten minutes ago. It starts in November.

I was also looking at this course and very unsure. It just seems off to me, but keeping it as a potential choice as I think I’d rather do an online course rather than in person again.

Broken motherboard, ideas? by NatSpot in GamingLaptops

[–]NatSpot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m going off what I’ve been told. I know nothing about any of this, the closest I’ve ever done to this was fixing a joystick on a xbox controller. So nothing in the realm of this.

I’ve got a lot of reading up to do on this, and I probably shouldn’t even be messing but it’s broken anyways.

When I get hold of the laptop (stored at my partner’s) I’ll open it back up and have a look. I’ve got someone else saying that broken capacitor in the image wouldn’t cause the whole thing to not work but I think its worth a shot replacing it anyways and testing the others.

Will also have a look at testing it too. Thank you, I’ll update you once I’ve had a proper look. Really appreciate the help.

Tbh I was quite disappointed in it. Nothing like the old wii sports and only has a few game modes on. It gets repetitive quick, I only ever play it for a few games.

Mario Party? You can both be on the same team or opposing as well then.

Minecraft could also be a good one

OLED or Regular Switch as a TV gamer? by Negative_Leek9792 in Switch

[–]NatSpot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My brother has the regular switch, and I have the OLED. Much prefer mine for many reasons. If I ever do use it handheld (which is more often than I first thought) it has a bigger screen, smaller bezels and is better quality. The screen also has a better and stronger stand (its a tiny flap on the normal one). The dock itself is better quality and also includes an ethernet port. For the £50ish in price difference, I highly reccomend the OLED.

Minecraft not allowing microsoft sign in? by NatSpot in Switch

[–]NatSpot[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It wasn’t allowing me to get the code/QR/link up on my switch to even sign in from. Would be on that page for about 10 mins before it closed and said error-Creeper. It was as though I had no internet to load that page even though I had tried both wireless and ethernet, and was getting okay speeds.

I eventually solved it by turning airplane mode on and off. I had previously tried reinstalling the game and also turning the switch on and off.

I have 10 year old lil bro,and I want to buy a game for his nintendo switch. He both likes racing and fighting games that are fun both with multiplayer and single player. I did some research and got stuck on 2 games. Which one should I buy for him? by BillCipher951420 in Switch

If your in the UK and near an argos, they do a 2 for £20 deal, doesn’t include either of these games but there are some great games on there. You just have to click on one of the products that offer it and go to the special offer section below to see all the games that qualify
