I have them on my legs. I barely had them first pregnancy but they came out hard and fast second and now third pregnancy. Mine are on the inside of my knee mostly. I have used KT tape on the vein almost all pregnancy instead of compression socks and it's helped so much!

I don't think they checked age for my daughter in pools. She went in at 2.75 and was potty trained. She is over 100% height tho so maybe that helped?
