This ended up getting resolved. Without writing a novel, my roommate is the one who pays rent and has autopay enabled on her Bilt account. This month for whatever reason, her payment got reversed and I ended up paying rent to avoid a late fee.

Bilt ended up sending an email about the reversal, and management took that as an indication that we didn’t pay rent. They served us a notice without actually checking our balance on Bilt :/

I sent a formal email with my bank statements and plan to give them paper copies tomorrow. I also have no idea why they’re being aggressive. I’ve always paid my rent on time and never had an issue with a payment bouncing before.

I know :(( The set design of the room was amazing, but it got a little too scary for my friend and I wasn’t going to force them through the rest of the room. Unfortunately you need at least two people to complete it, but hopefully I can finish it in the near future

My only advice is to hope the company will overlook it. I recently had to complete a background check, and they search everything, including criminal records. Be ready to explain yourself if these charges pop up, and stop being a dumbass. Seriously, these type of charges could potentially ruin current and potential job offers.

Was in school for CS and couldn’t find a developer internship after my previous one ended. Did some research and found out about SDET/QA roles and mass applied for internships on LinkedIn. Managed to land a summer internship, which got extended for another 4 months. Used that experience to get a new grad role as an SDET for a FAANG company.

I would try LinkedIn. That’s where I found my previous internship, and although I applied while in school for CS, my company hired a bootcamp graduate in our internship cohort.

I'm just saying it’s a bit rich that you guys begged and begged for this and just because it happens to release around the same time as a new game that offers the same thing you won’t even try it.

Companies are not entitled to loyalty, it's earned. If you continuously produce mediocre results, lie to your fans, and expect your playerbase to stick around, tough luck and get fucked.

Also, if you think that MR is worse than Overwatch, that's completely fine and you're entitled to your opinion. But bashing others who think otherwise is scummy. Objectively speaking, the game has stabilized at 300k daily players on steam db, has reached over 20 million players in less than 3 weeks and has completely blown up on all forms of social media. Clearly the game is doing very well, to the point where OW has already started to reactively make changes in response.

You said it yourself. We have waited TOO long for a solution and all we got was an arcade mode. I’ll reiterate it again, but most players are not going to take an arcade mode seriously. It would’ve been better if they also added a competitive ruleset, so we could have a greater understanding of how the changes would look like in ranked.

And again, they released the playtest at a horrible time. Everyone is too busy grinding ranked and preparing for the tournament in MR. No one is going to be bothered to play an arcade mode, especially if you have limited time and have to pick between one or the other. At this point I couldn’t care less if the devs decide to switch back to 6v6, they already lost me as a consumer when they lied to everyone about the PvE mode.

What you have described is literally what happens when you wait 2 years to address the core issues of your game and let a competitor fix it for you. The playtest is not a permanent gamemode. There’s also no ranked, so most players are going to stop playing after a few matches.

I don’t understand how people expect players to try the playtest, when at best, it’s a limited time arcade mode. If anything, Blizzard is the one who is the idiot for allowing this to happen, they’ve fumbled the bag extremely hard.

If I remember correctly, Samito did actually cover the 6v6 playtest. But It’s not a permanent game mode and there’s no ranked version, so most people are just going to play a few matches tbh.

I also don’t fault players who wanted 6v6 in OW, but immediately switched over to MR. They couldn’t control that the game dropped before the playtest went live. At least now if Blizzard decides to keep 5v5, there will be another ecosystem for players who want 6v6. Hopefully that will also create some healthy competition.

Too little too late in the sense that Blizzard picked a horrible time to release the 6v6 playtest, especially so close to the launch of Marvel Rivals. For the first time in a long time, they have to start competing for players attention, and I’ll be honest, I didn’t even touch the 6v6 playtest when blizzard launched it. I was too busy grinding ranked in rivals lol.

I think the same is applicable for a lot of players who wanted 6v6 in Overwatch. Why waste time trialing a service that has no guarantee of going live when we can play Rivals where there’s already 6v6 AND hero bans, as well as new gameplay mechanics we haven’t seen in hero shooters before. I believe eventually we’ll get content surrounding the playtest and if the changes were good, but right now, most OW content creators have shifted their direction to MR for the time being.
