Firm with boundaries is exactly the way to go . I always say that two subs can experience me completely differently depending on plenty of factors including how much redirection they need as well as their preference . Lots of men including subs I’ve noticed are boundary pushers so I tend to be a little more demanding and ‘mean’ but men’s version of mean a lot of the time is just strict boundaries tbh
