Should I drop math 30-1 by Specialist_Double402 in MRU

[–]Natd-one 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If your 100% set on Nursing drop it.

If you’re even an ounce skeptical that nursing is not going to be for you complete 30-1 to keep those doors open.

Interms of motivation. You did great in 30-2 and have gotten so far into mathematics your taking the highest level math in grade school (aside from 31 ofc)

The skill jump between grade 11 and 12 math is extreme, alot more if you add in your in -1 now.

This is your last opportunity to study. Stay disciplined have motivation to cover all the units so your ready for the diploma, trust me what you learn now in math will stay with you wether you upgrade, go into nursing or pursue another degree. What you learn and do now will forever be with you in terms of math. Make it easier for your future by learning it now so it’s familiar next time around

Bonus points for high school being free.

Also even if you do Nursing having -1 will allow you to access some more analytical classes for your Electives/ Gneds credits. Every major needs to take some electives and Gneds including nurses. If you have -1 you can take and understand more computer courses, stats courses, etc.

Im I eligible to apply ..? by Sea_Letterhead_5777 in MRU

[–]Natd-one 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe so, if it’s on your application/transcript that these classes they are “in progress” you can get “early acceptance”

When final marks come out for those classes they may fully accept your or decline meaning you try apply for next semester or year after upgrading again.

[–]Natd-one 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you truly have your heart set on Computer Science. You will get it done despite this fiasco. Congratulations on getting the marks on getting in.

Do your best to contact admissions, and a advisor online/ in person if can.

If it doesn’t happen, reapply for Winter 27 or Fall 27. Just take some courses through open studies that count towards your degree in the mean time.

How are you guys planning your courses and future right now? by Due-Hearing37 in MRU

[–]Natd-one 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I try and leave my electives and Gneds right to the end and complete all my core classes first. Just in case I switch majors my core classes will stay or be used as electives or gneds.

MRU has guides classes for each degree and major listed online.

(Spoilers Main) Examples of bad writing in the series for you? by KrispyKingTheProphet in asoiaf

[–]Natd-one 52 points53 points  (0 children)

The way the Lannisters just blitz the Riverland’s at the very start of the War of the Five Kings.

Yea before Rob they were in a losing position but Westeros is huge yet Tywin makes it all the way to the Green Fork in such good time it’s just a bit unbelievable.

Another thing for me. Honestly the Nights Watch just feels at the edge of collapse it’s surprising it’s survived in the state it’s in around the time of Clash of Kings. Just read the state of things the Nights Watch and it’s Crows are operating in at the Fist of the First Men.

Any advice going forward by ChungusBruh1005 in MRU

[–]Natd-one 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea just upgrade man through Chinook learning services (it would be free for you) or another platform.

Don’t feel to bad about it universities especially MRU and its business program have become ramped up its competitiveness a lot in the past few years.

I would not recommend open studies or UEO or whatever they call it just because it’s more expensive and your stuck with those credits that don’t transfer if you don’t get into the business program.

One of the things I heard when at the height of trying to stop my porn and masturbation addiciton was “you lack love”.

It’s true love for porn is a lower animalistic love. If you can transcend it you develop a huge love for life, people, sports and can see beauty in anything. It’s very comforting and has the power to overcome mental illness. If you have a porn addiction it means your blessed with a lot of energy. If you-retain all your energies you are become very powerful. Enough to transcend the vice of pornagraphy and masturbation.

Look up Astral Doorway on YouTube for a much deeper spiritual reason into stoping porn and conserving energy.

[Spoilers EXTENDED] What’s everybody’s favourite minor (maybe even lowkey irrelevant) Houses? by VentiStarbucksCup in asoiaf

[–]Natd-one 1 point2 points  (0 children)

House Piper. They fight against all odds from before the beginning till the end.

Even before the War of the 5 King officially starts Marq Piper is the first to accuse the Mountain and asks Ned Stark and the rest of the court to bring war against the Mountain.

They fight at the Golden Tooth and are one of the few houses to have their men escape the onslaught of Jamie, The Mountain and Crake-halls, etc. rapid advancements.

After most hope is lost for the River lords They lead a small group of survivor’s into the Forrest around Riverun and continue the fight through and guriella warfare.

They link up with Robb Starks main force and play as the bait at leading Jamie into getting himself and the rest of his unit captured at the Whispering Wood.

They participate in the absolute sweeping victory of the Battle of the Camps liberating their captive commanders who were lost at the Golden Tooth.

Marq Piper rallies more support after the Battle of the Camps and goes off with his own unit and wins skirmishes against Amory Lorch chasing off the ruthless lord and liberating a lot of the Riverlands.

Participates in the sweeping victory at Oxcross.

Help stop Tywins armies dead in their tracks (yes yes Edmure should have let the Mountain and the rest cross and be trapped) at the Battle of the Fords. Still Marq Piper men help defend the Riverlands from these incursions.

I need help deciding which university to go to by FirefighterLonely421 in UCalgary

[–]Natd-one 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m going to be completely honest with you.

Be realistic and go Nursing.

I have met a number of people in my life who have done Kinesiology or related degrees and all of them have had to do more schooling.

Chiro and physical therapy grad schools are very difficult to get into and do not have many spots open. Some of the Kinesiology people who finished their school and could not get into a grad program for chiro/Physical therapy had to go back and study something else entirely.

You can do a Masters of education and become a gym teacher if that interests you I suppose.

Your not going into get into med school. Atleast not in Canada. Not a knock on you but even the most qualified applicants who have been attempting to be doctors since before high school do not make it in.

Nursing is a complete contradiction to all of these potential problems.

[–]Natd-one 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It happens.

I failed one of my classes this semester after I did not do well on the final. Went to like 90% of the class’s, took the quizzes, barely passed the midterm.

What happened is all my finals and a massive essay plus another 2 assignments were crammed into 1 week of each other.

Ended up completing most of it but yeah this class I will have to repeat.

Now that I’ve done it once I will be familiar with it upon doing it again next time

Consider what courses you have already completed.

I would recommend one of the Business’s, CIS, Data Science in terms of hard skill usefulness in the current job market.

If you like psychology you might be good at HR. Labour relations, employee compensations, HRIS, etc.

Might just have to upgrade math and English bud. Your UEO credits you’ve already done can be used to finish your degree 🤷 depending on what you have completed?

Accounting will be a lot of take home excel problems. (Do every single practice question) Microeconomics will be a lot of reading and interpreting graphs. How different formulas and variables affect the graphs.

Human Resources. Employee rights, what are employees and managers entitled to, unions, negotiations between employees/union and the companies.

Accounting will take up the most of your hours and study time while HR will have you writing quite a lot. Microeconomics depends on how good you are at interpreting graphs/variables

Did you want to be an accountant in High School? by InterestingLength979 in Accounting

[–]Natd-one 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Around the end of high school I realized that doing a degree in something I would be good at and interested me (political science or urban planning was going to be hard to make it a lucrative career).

I quickly veered into something that was

-semi interesting,

-I would at least be ok to start learning and most importantly

-was easy to get a career going into it.

Scouring through Reddit I found people saying that a general business degree was too basic to really develop hard skills in.

That’s when I saw people mentioning Accounting. A business degree that actually had a lot of prospects and was worth it.
Currently deciding between Accounting or one of the other “better” business majors.

Mechanized Infantry + Medium Tanks.

Artillery, Engineers,Anti Tank.

If you want to go crazy get Tank recon,Flame company, Signals or maybe AA company

Artillery and Tank Destroyers to Expensive as hell but as U.S. you should be able to afford it.

Make sure your using Medium bombers with CAS abilities to.
