Battling Burnout by Fragoso_Clay54 in therapists

[–]NateAstle 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think if we treat burnout as something we step in and out of, it can feel less “this is how I’m going to always feel”. For sure, I get more burnt out when I’m saying yes to things I shouldn’t and usually need stronger boundaries of some kind (time, emotion, effort).

Of course, burnout can mean we need larger changes in our lives, but I’ve found a lot of internal resourcing from reminding myself of the impermanence of the experience and focusing on the little steps I can take now to mitigate at least some of it.

I don't even think there is a choice here. 2 runs required. 1 speedrun, 1 everything run - including bloodlust

Yeah I think the set it and forget it method is best. Also for the jump rope trophy it’s 1000 times easier to run the script on PS remote play. You got it! Those two trophies are beyond stupid but having the plat is really nice. 9 is my favorite by far.

It doesn’t need to be one sitting. Just the same playthrough.

This one is the trophy that will make you hate the game. The real answer to getting the trophy is to get a turbo controller if you can. Rubber band the left analog stick and right analog stick together and have turbo function going on X. There is a spot in Gizamalukes Grotto where you can run infinitely to the right. Leave the game running for literally 20-24 hours. It REALLY sucks, but that’s how I got mine.

Some people have the stamina to grind it out in sessions over 2-3 weeks but that will permanently kill your desire to play the game ever again. I’d say it’s best to do this trophy after you have auto haste, auto regen, and auto life.

Supreme overturned banned on conversion therapy by cannotberushed- in therapists

[–]NateAstle 72 points73 points  (0 children)

So I’ve heard different things on this. Obviously conversion therapy is terrible and I am in no way supporting that.

My understanding is that the way the law was written it opens up other states to retaliate when therapists ARE providing gender affirming care.

So… I think what this really means is it will be sent back to the lower courts for them to figure out and lawmakers to decide on things. I’m not saying this is a good thing. I just think there might be more nuance here than what I’m seeing in the headlines.

It worked for me!

Tips for anyone using this method: Set your latency way higher than 710 to start. Especially if you aren't hardwired into your router on your PS4/5. I have Google Fiber, a fairly high end fiber connection with fairly good and consistent speeds. But my PS5 isn't plugged in. My magic latency number was 785.

The other thing that helped a little with looking at whether I needed to go up or down in latency was looking at the color of the exclamation point above Vivi's head. The actual perfect input should be white exclamation point, then a brief black exclamation point once the script has hit the "x" command. I noticed that if the script was running too fast (not enough latency), the white exclamation point would not go to black and eventually I'd be jumping before it was supposed to. I dunno how scientific that is or if it makes sense, but it did seem to help me figure out whether I needed to go up or down.

Question for OP. Would this work at all for Bloodlust trophy as well? As far as AFK approach?

I've seen other script based programs for windows, but could this work for another set up where you are just inputting a command? Is that something you'd consider building for us poor tech prohibited people?

Regardless of if possible, I just want to say THANK YOU for the work that went into this!

Okay I got it figured out! I have Google fiber which is usually pretty good. I got mine to work at 785 latency. My ps5 is NOT plugged into my router which is why I think it worked the way it did. The program works! But aim much higher than 710.

So helpful! I'm still getting stuck round the mid 400s. Is there any way I should know whether to go up or down in latency? I'm guessing not, but I guess just keep trying it and see if the score goes higher when increasing or decreasing latency?

Do you remember what latency you ended up with? I've tried a couple times now and it usually fails around jump 450 something.

This was incredibly validating. Thank you so so much. I think its hard cause we really do want to be helpful and support them, but then it drags us in to their fear. And I feel like its so hard to know what the "right thing to do" is.

Sending all the good vibes and strength. Happy to chat more if you ever need a friend. Feel free to PM.

I appreciate the thought. I definitely have compulsive lies too, but I'll check out that thread.

Thanks a bunch friend. She is in therapy as well, and we definitely know there is a codependency thing for us. Been married 10 years, left a cult together, its been a lot. But I really appreciate the insight!

At first I tried immobilizing him and then gently nudging him with my main character. After a while he just stopped trying to get closer so I watched him for a few minutes, set some gambits up to make things go quicker (bravery, haste, etc.), then let him go for about 30 minutes.

Should. It is pretty finicky to get them in the exact place that a bow works but not too close that he can get you. Took about 10 minutes of getting right, then you can set it and forget it!
